Administrators Hervé Posted August 1, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2014 There are no kexts for Camera. As long as they are UVC, they're normally supported. However, not on the E6320 it would appear... Did you try Macam?
candurin
No luck with MACAM. It opens but states camera is not installed. Whenever I use any camera app (photo booth, Skype, FaceTime, etc.) the flash led comes on the camera, but the screen is black. Any other ideas? Can someone who has a working camera post their hardware information?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 2, 2014 Moderators Share Posted August 2, 2014 See this thread. #51 and #52. Seems his E6320 webcam is not working either.

candurin
AFAIK I didn't do anything special to get my webcam working, it just works. I'm happy to post my Extras folder that I'm using if you're interested. That would be appreciated. For what it's worth, my dvi works on my docking station. I only used the extras from pepto's guide. Did you use herve's extras?
Administrators Hervé Posted August 2, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 2, 2014 The output of a lspci -nn Terminal command on adrianb's E6320 would be useful too, to compare hardware.

For what it's worth, my dvi works on my docking station. I only used the extras from pepto's guide. Did you use herve's extras? I did this so long ago that I don't remember what I used. Much or all of what I tried is documented in this thread though. My Extra is attached. The output of a lspci -nn Terminal command on adrianb's E6320 would be useful too, to compare hardware.
