denkteich
Hi Jake, i have another 5580 from a freind, which is not booting with this EFI. I only got to this point (IMG_6435). Don't know which graphics it has, the system info only tells me this (IMG_6436). Service tag (18P63H2) is not telling me anything about the graphics. Any suggestions? TIA .d
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2021 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2021 It's a Kabylake, so probably HD620. Use the bootpack from the 2nd post and replace the config.plist a few post below that to fix the NoTouchID error
denkteich
i think I used the efi from the second post with the newer config.plist. but I’ll try later again. any easy way to find out which graphics card is built in? Otherwise I’ll install a Windows to check.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2021 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2021 Kabylake is either HD620 or HD630, either way, the config should work for both graphics.. Make bios settings are set correctly. Best to set it to load Default. Safe, reboot, go back and set it to Enable UEFI / AHCI Disable Secure Boot
denkteich
thx, the installation is running. Will check tomorrow if everything is recognized. is there any way to support the forum? ############ strange behaviour... after the first part of the installation and the reboot, not even opencore is shown any more. looks like its booting from my external drive efi, but nothing on the screen after the dell logo. is there any way to clear the nvram without the opencore tool? or any suggestion what this can be? bios settings are ok. default, uefi and AHCI enabled, sec boot off. Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2021 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2021 Select F12 after boot and select the boot drive Also check the BIOS under boot options. Make sure you don't have old OC boot option there. if there is, remove it.
