TheRealBigBudz
Sorry I just got a chance to try this out, screen goes black after detecting displays -- no display on external monitor.
v3ct0r
Dumb question, but is the vga output enabled in the bios?
TheRealBigBudz
I just had to double check myself, but I did not see an option to enable or disable I am on A12. Also, before getting ML working, I was using Windows 7 on this machine with an external monitor -- so I know it works
casotv
Hey I just bought this ram any reason why I can only boot in safe mode? Corsair 8GB (2x 4GB) 1333mhz PC3-10666 204-pin DDR3 SODIMM Laptop Memory Kit CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9
v3ct0r
Not sure why that's happening. As far as I know, that shouldn't happen (at least due to the RAM upgrade). Can you boot with -f? If you can, get to myHack and run a myFix.
TheRealBigBudz
Patel can you please do me a favor and check to see if your bios rev has an option to enable / disable vga?

I will try a myfix tonight but my windows drive shuts down aswell only my Mac partition with the flags -x -f works

TheRealBigBudz
Thanks. Also I found a post earlier in the thread where a poster had the same problem as me, he fixed it by not installing the S/L/E contents of the ML e6410 zip (not 10.8.x) Which of these Kexts would be responsible or can be removed without preventing me from booting? v3ct0r
Okay, so I checked the BIOS and there isn't an option to enable/disable the VGA output; my bad! Guess I've been working on too many systems in the past few month... Also, the kexts you'd need to delete/replace are the ones beginning with "NV" (or Nvidia) in S/L/E...
