Administrators Bronxteck Posted May 7, 2013 Administrators Share Posted May 7, 2013 AppleACPIPS2Nub is for the ps2 type kexts like for trackpad and ps2 keyboard. if your using usb keyboard and mouse you can remove the kext from e/e at least that might get you going. NebulaH
Thanks Bronxteck, I thought the ESP Bootpack Extras.zip instead of the one provided with the guide. After swapping the Extras it's working. Let the journey continue... - Neb
EMlyDinEsH
Hi guys, I'm new to OSXLatitude and I was very happy to see UX32VD support. So kudos for your work! Unfortunately I already upgraded my RAM to 10GB, so the guide is not working properly for me. Darwin stops at "Failed to load kext com.yourcompany.driver.AppleACPIPS2Nub"... This is probably due to the limitations of Cameleon. How can I get myhack to work with Clover? Or am I dealing with a different problem? Regards, NebulaH If you explain the process you did so far from the beginning so we can help you since our EDP doesn't support clover but we can guide for clover issues. NebulaH
Hi EMlyDinEsH, Fortunately I was able to get Everything up and running using clover, although I'm not sure if I have too many (or conflicting) stuff on my machine. The InsanelyMac forum has quite some info on the zenbook prime aswel. What I really like about OSXL, is the maintenance of packs and guides, something alike would be nice for Clover like solutions. It's quite complicated to get the right config.plist, SSDT.aml, kexts and DSDT.aml files... but it seems things are running quite nice now. gihad
Hey guys, Seems like you have accomplished a lot. I read this thread a few others and there is too much scattered information about getting OSX working on the UX32VD. Can someone tell me what is the current best/easiest way to get it setup with OSX? I have the UX32VD-DH71 model with 6GB RAM: http://www.amazon.ca/ASUS-UX32VD-DH71-CA-13-3-Inch-Ultrabook-802-11agn/dp/B009PO9NU0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1368028595&sr=8-2&keywords=zenbook And one more question, will I be able to output to 2x1080p monitors simultaneously using the HDMI and VGA ports? Thanks!

Regards, NebulaH Hi, can you please mention how you got clover working? Did you first install OSX following the method in this thread and than later replaced your chameleon bootloader with clover? What was the procedure? Thanks!
NebulaH
Hi Gihad, Well actually I installed Mac OS 10.8.2 through unifail and installed Clover according to Phelics12's method posted on the insanelymac-forum in the "zenbook prime fixes mods tweaks..." thread (post 295). Then I replaced de config.plist, DSDT.aml, SSDT.aml and kexts from 68x (who posted the guide on this forum). I will redo everything until I get things done in the proper order without breaking stuff. I'm planning to write a how-to for UX32VD users who'd like to have a dual boot 10.8.2(+) and Debian Linux system with a shared home/users partition. Administrators Hervé Posted May 13, 2013 Administrators Share Posted May 13, 2013 PCiRoot/PciRootUID=0 is default settings. Did you try with those options set to 1? Same for npci option, there are 2 possible values: 0x2000 or 0x3000.
68x
The reason why I am recommending to use my Extra.zip is because it will get you passed the PCI begin/end error. The newer builds of chameleon support the Zenbook, so you should be able to use more than 4GB of RAM.
