E6430 won't install

I have gone through the thread of installing on E6400 in 5 easy steps but can't seem to get mountain lion to install.

first of I I have an E6430 with 8GB RAM.  Nvidia NVS 5200.

I created the USB drive using myhack and a 10.8.3 InstallESD.dmg.  I used the Extra folder for the thread mentioned above.  The first time I try to install it gives me the boot0: error.  So I used myhack and reinstalled chameleon.  It gets through after that and I type in -v and start the install.  It then gives a kernal panic saying that there should be 4 threads but only found five.  I found online that this is due to the DDST.aml file.  So I renamed it and started the install again.  Now I get a kernal panic and says that the extension in the backtrace is com.apple.driver.AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.

Is it a problem that I am using 10.8.3 to try this install?  Should I use 10.8.2 and then try to upgrade?  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I tried that thread and put in the Extra folder from it from Jake Lo.  The USB install kept coming up with boot0: error even after trying to reinstall chameleon.  Then I when to Jake Lo's thread on it and used the Extra folder from that one.  Again got the same boot0: error.  Not sure what I am doing wrong.

do you get this boot0 error when booting from USB or HDD? For HDD you need to install boot1h file from linux or from terminal which is an issue with 4k sector size of new hard disks.

Ok, a little progress.  I erased my USB and created a new OSX installer and installed the Extra Folder.  Ran the myFix and tried again.  It now will get to the bootloader and I put in -v.  It loads all of the kexts and then looks like it is starting up.  Then it freezes.  No indication of a kernal panic.  The last lines indicate it is working on the AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.  Says initialization complete.  Says AppleSmartBattery Manager Loading... three times then AppleSmartBattery Loading... once.  That is where is freezes.  Picture attached.  oops, two of them attached.

I got it to install finally.  Thanks for the help.  I was actually using the USB 3 ports on the right hand side and tried using the USB 2 on the left and it worked.  At first it would only boot up in safemode but I downloaded Jake Lo's extra folder and now it boots up fine everytime.

I brought home an e6430 to mess with. It doesn't have the Nvidia graphics, just the HD4000. Preliminary installation attempts failed to boot into the graphical portion of the installer. I could tell it got in, just cannot display the graphics because the USB LED continues to flicker after the screen goes black. Hitting enter causes it to flicker as well so I know it's actually inside the installer but can't display graphics. I only messed with it for about a half hour but it will be fun adding this latitude to the list of others I have running ML. I encountered a similar problem with an e6510 but don't recall how I got passed it. This will be this weekend's project for me  :D
