I checked apples web page and found the MBP 4.1 matching the best (my CPU is a T9300 2.5 GHz). The SMC is 1.28f3. But I can not fine a way to figure the REV code out?? How can I calculate the right valur to modify the fake smc file? Can someone tell me? Thanks madmax
Administrators Hervé Posted May 20, 2013 Administrators Share Posted May 20, 2013 If you've used the article published on the Web site, it's clearly explained in there: 8) At the bottom of the Keys list, open down REV, RVBF and RVUF. By default, FakeSMC should be using SMC version 1.30f3 which is displayed in Data field as 01300F00 0003. In the case of our D630 laptops with T9300 CPU and nVidia Quadro NVS 135M, Mario and I tried the SMC version listed for the 15″ MacBookPro5,1 -> 1.33f8 (SMC 1.2). This translated to 6bytes Data 01330F00 0008.

Administrators Hervé Posted June 10, 2013 Administrators Share Posted June 10, 2013 Don't! You won't get anywhere with MBP3,1; try the MBP5,1 instead.
madmax
HI, sorry but I have every now and then a kernel Panic and the snd HDD in the Modular bay gets some times unmounted by the system. It seems to be fast, but the kernel panics get on my nervs. I am running 3.1 now. Why is it so bad with 3.1? I keep you updated. Madmax

madmax
Hi, I am still working on the treaking of the fakesmc. I have now the 5.1 config on the fakesmc and chameleon setting. The Notebook is realls fast now. But.. I found that the Video playback does not work. I receive a message that the monitor is not supported. This movie (HD content) can only be played back with a monitor that supports HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). With 3.1 or 4.1 the playback of the same content (Das Boot HD) playsback fine. What am I missing? Madmax
