Cephrus
you need chameleon 2248 or higher. d830 intel can only go up to lion. I have the latest chameleon (2262) installed with the chameleon package I downloaded.

Cephrus
I have Windows 7 and am trying to install lion as a dual-boot.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 16, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 16, 2013 There's a good chance you won't manage to install OS X on an MBR partitioned HDD these days. As far as I know, that is no longer supported by myHack; 'could be wrong of course; 'haven't done it for ages; maybe with myHack 3.1.2...
Cephrus
I'm running lion right now, I just can't boot off the Mac partition with Chameleon, I need to use my myHack drive to boot.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 17, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2013 Use GUID partitions, not MBR and install Chameleon v2248 or later on your HDD once you're in Mac OS X. Apply 4k HDD fix if necessary.
Cephrus
That would involve reformatting, and I have windows with files installed, so I want to avoid that if possible.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 17, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 17, 2013 Try with myHack v3.1.2 because I'm pretty sure myHack v3.2 does not support MBR partitions.
Cephrus
I selected MBR when I created the drive, and Lion itself is fully functional. It's just chameleon that's behaving poorly.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 18, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 18, 2013 I suggest you do the following: 1) in Win, check which partition is active using DISKPART tool (available from Command line) 2) make sure the Lion partition is active 3) once rebooted in Lion (by whatever method), re-install Chameleon. My wife's D620 nVidia is actually running on a 320Gb SATA HDD with Win7/Lion 10.7.5 on MBR partitions in that particular order (i.e Win7 1st, Lion 2nd - I installed Lion afterwards, having reduced the original Win7 partition through Windows disk management tool). I'll check out the arrangements through DISKPART tonight. For Chameleon, I'm running v2251 if memory serves me right. Installation was made with myHack 3.1.2 quite some time ago.
