Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 21, 2013 Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2013 Any ideas what steps I should try next for this Kernel panic? Thank you! http://sdrv.ms/1gNcNQI First off, do you have the Intel x3100 or Nvidia card? Try removing IntelCPUMonitor.kext and try again.

I read the Dell site by asset tag and it says nvidia. I'll try your suggestion.

dem1an
check in your bios. it will tell you the system info. OK, I checked BIOS and it says Nvidia. It is a Quadro NVS 135M, 128MB, 1440x900. Audio is a Sigmatel 9205.
Administrators Hervé Posted December 22, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2013 Then, just make sure to use a myHack USB installer with our Mavericks boot pack. If you have an Intel wireless card, disable it in the BIOS or, better, remove it as it'll have to be replaced anyway. Remember to set your BIOS according to the recommended settings provided in the pinned thread of this very forum section. Do all this and you won't have any issue at all. I'll retrace my steps. I copied the Mavericks boot pack over the extra folder that was on the USB stick. Is that correct? I think the Wifi is disabled. I'll take a look at it in the BIOS and recheck everything. I had Lion on here before trying to upgrade to Mav.
Administrators Hervé Posted December 22, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 22, 2013 The bootpack should be installed with myHack so that you run myFix to fully install the pack. If you follow our guide (available in EDP pages above), you'll have no trouble at all.
