devious
Awesome job guys! I'd like to get on the team for the D630 Nvidia, if you guys wanted the help or even a tester. Also, I know this only adds basic functionality for Lion, but the current wget is compiled for PPC Arch, which as you know Rosetta was pulled from Lion. Let me know if you need any help, I've been working with Lion on the D630 since DP1 and it is a completely different beast in some ways. Again, Great job on the release. Administrators Bronxteck Posted August 1, 2011 Administrators Share Posted August 1, 2011 WARNING!!! Just in case you get an itch to use it with lion even though this is for Snow Leopard. Be forewarned.... Battery kexts are buggy and whatever you do.... DO NOT INSTALL AppleACPIBattery as an option for lion. also voodoohda randomly causes kp on boot... so don't say we didn't warn you!! devious
Yeah tried all that reverted back to the optimal kexts Ive found for Lion, which include AppleACPIBattery and VoodooHDA 2,7,2. I can assure you that you will have problems on lion if you install AppleACPIBattery. But over all I pulled some stuff out of EDP to tweak things to my liking
macluscious
Great work guys. Here is some feed back and issues I encountered. When selecting D830 intel graphic option, after the reboot there is no keyboard, track pad working. Plus the resolution drops down to 1024 x 768. Further the processor speed drops down to 1.81 ghz, which could be resolved by replacing the boot file on root with Anvail 1.5. The best option as before on Intel D830 is to choose option no. 6 i.e. D630 with Intel X3100 graphic injection. Machine runs smooth as ever. WiFi Issue Another bug I just noticed when I tried to connect to a wi-fi network. It is showing the Airport in System preferences but I am unable to detect or scan any available networks, left aside connecting with them. Solution: I reinstalled the IONetworkingFamily.kext using kext wizard from the previous EDP i.e. 1.8. The wifi is fully functional and working. attitude630
Hi My quick question : does this build recognise the GMA965 intel graphics card properly ? Previous attempts told be at boot up that I had the right card, but on installation insisted on using 3100 drivers - with dire results.( at best a 4 way split screen, reachable by booting with a screen attached and then toggling back ) going to try anyway, but if I am wasting my time ....... thanks in advance

LatinMcG
wow cool stuff! .. listen i was looking at a toshiba x205 laptop and i saw it had VIDS, in the video card. with a big buffer. i was thinking the 1395 can be detected by device id and make a change if Lequal (VIDS, vendorid of registers then put dsm to rebrand in dsdt to 4312 then Else if another model id with problems then Else standard mini pci no dsm rebrand. just an idea for future autodectection of wireless and rebranding in dsdt. everything else looks sweet. Leon the guys name says attitude630 so he must have a d630 gma model. the 4 squares video i believe is either wrong edid cause u have bigger resolution lcd or the _DOS is flipped (NVCAP)

James Coleman
In my haste, I trashed my 10.6.7 partition as I thought I had Lion working flawlessly, however some niggly bugs have meant I've decided to move back to Snow Leopard. I've started right from the beginning - 10.6.0 installed and boots fine with EDP 1.8. I'm now updating to 10.6.7 and will reinstall EDP and Chameleon just to be sure this works. Is this the right course of action? Also, I know there has been limited support and lots of problems for 10.6.8, especially on D630 Intel machines - is it worth the upgrade? have the issues surrounding this version been fixed? Which version of EDP is recommended, does 1.9 support 10.6.7 and 10.6.8? Thanks, James
