ericw12
More than half the time, when my system boots up, it takes very long and the system runs very slow. The clock is running like 4 to 5 times slower, and the graphic effect is very lagging. Any idea what is happening? Thanks a lot! eric’s MacBook Pro When Slow.ioreg.zip
EMlyDinEsH
You have optimus nvidia card which is not disabled, so try disabling that and see. Also let me know see your Extra folder and your system log for the boot which takes so much time and which boots quick.
ericw12
I have both the good and slow ioreg files included. The Nvidia card is disabled. I do not know if there is way to compare the ioreg files to see the differences. When it boots in the slow mode, it is hard to see any gap in the system.log, because I think the Clock is getting slower as well. The last BOOT_TIME is the log for booting up in the slow mode. If I play a song in the slow mode, the sound will be broken like someone keep press play and pause bottons, and I think that is why the error like these are listed:May 5 22:53:13 erics-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: IOAudioStream[0xffffff8013ab4200]::clipIfNecessary() - adjusting clipped position to (bd,1238)May 5 22:53:13 erics-MacBook-Pro kernel[0]: IOAudioStream[0xffffff8013ab4200]::clipIfNecessary() - Error: attempting to clip to a position more than one buffer ahead of last clip position (c0,1288)->(c2,2b8). ericw12
Look it up at the site that supports Clover... I asked my question after checking Clover's ticket site without finding any ticket by search the combination and variation of "slow" + " timer".....
