dikkiedirk
It did nothing, but still boots, phew.
dikkiedirk
I simply moved the PNLF device within the device PEGP.DGFX (for discrete GPU, i.e. the nVidia K1000M), but that may not work. In this attached 2nd patch, I've added connector type 0x0200000 to 1st NVDA port, the one used for the LCD display, to try and declare it as such. Again, no guarantee. DSDT_02.aml.zip Again, no change, Shouldn't the be something like @0built-in? together with PNLF?
Administrators Hervé Posted January 22, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2016 As far as I know, it won't change anything but go ahead and experiment. Best way to learn!
dikkiedirk
If I knew where to put it. Do you some more tips or options to try?

dikkiedirk
Can you please tell me where and how to place the patch in the attachment? patch.txt
Administrators Bronxteck Posted January 23, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 23, 2016 looks like a simple PNLF patch it goes in dsdt. you can try one thats a bit more complex if you want. just back up your dsdt before editing it incase shit goes wrong. https://github.com/RehabMan/Laptop-DSDT-Patch/blob/master/graphics/graphics_PNLF_haswell.txt
dikkiedirk
I already have an even simpler PNLF patch in my DSDT. I would like to know where and how the patch that I posted should be placed. The link you posted seems specific for Haswell with Intel graphics. The laptop I have is Nvidia only. Administrators Hervé Posted January 23, 2016 Administrators Share Posted January 23, 2016 The patch code would go into a DSM method within your Device (DGFX) section. You'll find hundreds of sample nVidia DSDT patches on the web. You'll find one such sample here for instance.
