Administrators Bronxteck Posted July 7, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 7, 2016 for ethernet you can try mausiEthernet and audio voodoohda you will probably need to edit the kexts info plist to turn on some fixes in it.
Pupilliam
Will do. Do I need AppleHDADisabler for VoodooHDA? I've never had much luck with VoodooHDA. I'll check out that Ethernet kext! EDIT: Ethernet works now. Thank you! EDIT 2: VoodooHDA works. Have to edit the volume change fix in info.plist. Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 18, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 18, 2016 For HDMI Audio, you might need a patched AppleHDA instead of the VoodooHDA. There might be a patched kext already available, what's codec ID? You could check it in the BIOS, if not then you might need to do a codec dump from linux or ubuntu. See here, chapter 1, part 1 section 1.
Pupilliam
My Precision reports that I have IDT 92HD90 as the audio under BIOS. I don't have any experience with PatchedAppleHDA, so any pointers would be nice
Administrators Hervé Posted November 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2016 IDT92HD90 is same audio codec as fitted to the Latitude E6x20 Series. As such, you should be able to re-use the same AppleHDA patch as used on those. You can grab the IDT definition kext + patched AppleHDA kext as posted in the pack of my E6220 Sierra guide with no AppleHDA patches in the Clover config.plist. Check the DSDT too for HDEF device patch. If you prefer to use Clover on-the-fly patches rather than pre-patched AppleHDA kext, the Sierra patch includes the following mods: Find: 8419D411 Replace by: 00000000 Find: 8A19D411 Replace by: 00000000 Find: Replace by: 8B19D411 Replace by: E7761D11
Pupilliam
Do I still need the IDT definition kext if I'm using Clover patches?
Administrators Hervé Posted November 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2016 Yes. And don't forget to check your DSDT HDEF device.
Pupilliam
I still couldn't get it to work properly, so I went back to the VoodooHDA kext. Can confirm HDMI audio works fine.
