hugohase
Hi there, I am running OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan on my E6230 with IDT 92HD93 Soundchip. I installed VoodooHDA288, AppleHDA and ApplaHDA_IDT. The Speakers themselves are working with VoodooHDA. Problem: When I adjust the volume with the hardware-keys, OS X shows the onscreen change of the volume, but it is not transferred to the speakers - I cannot control the speaker volume with the buttons or software, it is always on 100%. Thanks for your help, appreciate it!
Moderators Jake Lo Posted July 10, 2016 Moderators Share Posted July 10, 2016 Get rid of VoodooHDA and AppleHDADisabler. Patched AppleHDA_IDT and vanilla AppleHDA is working fine.

hugohase
I can't get rid of it with sudo kextunload - gives me the error: cannot open CFBundle. In System Profiler only VoodooHDA is loaded - but I was not able to install the AppleHDA_IDT that came with the E6230 Bootpack (gave me errors even when repaired the permissions). I do wonder why this happens... When I do a fresh install (following the El Capitan clover Guide) - should I use the new AppleHDA_IDT coming with 10.11.04 (I am installing 10.11.5) ? Administrators Hervé Posted September 6, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 6, 2016 To get rid of VoodooHDA, simply delete the VoodooHDA + AppleHDADisabler kexts from /S/L/E or /L/E or Clover kexts folder then rebuild your cache and reboot. sudo touch -f /S*/L*/E* sudo touch -f /L*/E* sudo kextcache -Boot -U /
