Administrators Bronxteck Posted September 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 15, 2016 no. when you say it blacks out is it an external monitor /tv blacking out or the internal screen?
fwz.mhmd
The internal screen, i dont use an external display. The reason i say the screen blacks out is because my laptop is still on and the screen just turns off, i can tell my laptop is still on because i have a usb wifi attached and the led lights flickers meaning the laptop is on. Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 15, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 15, 2016 I'm wonder if it's your USB wireless and kext that's preventing the system from sleeping and waking properly.
fwz.mhmd
I dont think so. I removed everything and i still have the same issue. I only use the usb to check the laptops on and that the screen is the issue, i use ethernet most of the time. Plus i dont think my laptop should be sleeping at an early stage where the laptops just starting to boot up.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted September 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 15, 2016 can you shine a light into the lcd panel when that happens and see if you can see images or a desktop? maybe it is your backlight that is shutting off but the display is actually working.
fwz.mhmd
Wow that actually worked, thank you so much. It was very hard for me to see since i was using my phones flashlight, i also changed the brightness using the light and that worked. I really dont think i changed the brightness settings so i dont know how this happened. Thanks again for this great community for helping me out once again
