Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 2, 2016 Moderators Share Posted October 2, 2016 Trackstick scrolling, I use Smart Scroll. For Brightnes/Audio Control I'm using Karabiner Elements. You could try my config file for it here. First install it and then launch it from app, then Copy it to ~/.karabiner.d/configuration/ "f1": "mute", "f2": "volume_down", "f3": "volume_up", "f4": "vk_consumer_play", "f5": "vk_consumer_next", "f6": "vk_consumer_previous", "f8": "vk_mission_control", "f9": "vk_launchpad", "f11": "vk_consumer_brightness_down", "f12": "vk_consumer_brightness_up", karabiner.json.zip
seeker_pl
There is something wrong with my Smart Scroll?/trackpad after sleep and it's very strange. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. After wake there is no problem with keyboard. I can type my password and login. I also tried to add Apple Magic Trackpad and it failed. I can see the device if I put in correct mode, but it failed when I try to connect to it. I was able connect to my iPhone/handoff/continuity/airdrop works, so I'm quite sure that bluetooth works fine. Also when I try to auto unlock with Apple Watch, there is a sign on screen that it's trying to unlock, but after few sec it failed and I need provide the password. New Karabiner and your son file works and I love the "PrtScr" mapping:) Bluetootj en2 ethernet en0 wifi en1 iphone en3 Smart Scroll?/trackpad after sleep, maybe it has something in common with DualBoot macOS Sierra and Windows 10 on same drive. I need to test it, but it looks like problem not appear when I boot only to mac. Edited October 4, 2016 by seeker_pl
cryptorider
Awesome to hear Sierra progress in E7450. I'm on 10.11.6 beta and wanna re-image with Sierra. If anyone can write a similar guide much appreciated. Dell Latitude E7450 El Capitan Clover UEFI Only
seeker_pl
If your Clover is working fine and it's updated to latest version, you can create new Sierra USB stick and install it. Just follow the Jake Lo guide point from 1-19, skip the bootloader part. https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8514-dell-latitude-e7450-el-capitan-clover-uefi-only/ You can also use the terminal command to cerate USB installer, but in my case, I had to connect my e7450 to ethernet cable, because it required internet connection during installation. Can someone help me clarify the issue with dw1560? It looks good when I login to the system. Wifi 5ghz and Bluetooth seems ok, but when I'm on login screen there is only Wifi icon, but without connection? (please check attached screenshots). I'm able to use airdrop. Continuity and handoff, seems like there re available, but not always I'm able to use them (icon appear, but when I click on it, nothing happen). In system preferences/system report - handoff, continuity and instant hotspot are available, My Wifi is set to US, should I change it to Polish/European setttings? I’m from Poland. As you can see on the second screen my Apple Watch is trying to unlock the MAC, but it fail every time after sec and it ask for password.

cryptorider
Thanks Jake, i will try to use the original guide for a fresh installation of Sierra using a new PCIe SSD for E7450. Currently using TL-WN725N with TP-Link driver for El Capitan 10.11.6 beta but might buy DW1560 soon.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 5, 2016 Moderators Share Posted November 5, 2016 The El Capitan guide will do just fine. You'll just need to update the Config file with patches for Audio from previous posts and the above for wireless when you obtain DW1560.
edd1024
So Sierra is working just as good as El Capitan on E7450? I'm quite happy with El Capitan but just being thinking about moving on to Sierra. Actually I see no reason for now, Siri I don't need neither. Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 13, 2016 Moderators Share Posted November 13, 2016 Yes, just as well, except maybe the cap lock issue. You need to tab twice to lock and twice to unlock. Karabiner no longer works to customize the keyboard, switch it to Karabiner-Elements
