Administrators Hervé Posted February 28, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 28, 2017 If your KP was AICPUPM related, then yes it's Ok to activate AsusAICPUPM. You should probably remove P States and C States generation also. Sounds like your CPUs are actually Sandy Bridge generation. You're sure they're Xeon 5520? ssprod
Thank you, Herve. Yes, confirmed 2xXeon 5520's. AsusAICPUPM is activated, and P+C states have been removed from generating. Went through this in prep for FakeSMC tuning. Confused on how to translate 1.39f11 in PlistEditor (01390F00 00011?)
Administrators Hervé Posted March 1, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 1, 2017 Where's the confusion? The article gives 2 x examples...1.30f3 which translates to 6bytes key 01 30 0F 00 00 031.33f8 which translates to 6bytes key 01 33 0F 00 00 08 The article also points to the Apple EFI and SMC firmware update pages which lists many many SMC keys as x.yyfzzz. On that basis, I would have expected you could properly translate 1.39f11 into 6bytes (i.e. 12digits, not 13!) key 01 39 0F 00 00 11.
ssprod
Understood, thanks! Still dealing with auto-wake from sleep.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 1, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 1, 2017 make sure power nap is not enabled in system settings / energy saver
ssprod
Thanks Bronx, power nap is not an option on this system.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted March 2, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 2, 2017 you can try darkwake=0 and or the clover additional rc script in the clover installer. well if you used clover.
ssprod
Thanks again, darkwake=0 doesn't provide a solution. Not sure what you mean by "rc script..."
Moderators Jake Lo Posted March 3, 2017 Moderators Share Posted March 3, 2017 When you install Clover, the rc script option is on the bottom of the display
ssprod
Thanks Jake, I understand. Strange indeed, I've achieved native power management, done some DSDT patching, tested with numerous bios settings including the more obvious ones, still behaving the same. Will respond to sleep command, then will immediately wake up fully working w/USB, Audio, etc. Would you suggest trying some different "darkwake" settings?
