spidey123
Been a while my friends. Apparently there has been a fix for the intial boot mouse freezing. I've been reading over at another forum and Rehabman seems to have figured out the problem. The solution appears to be removing unused connectors from the ig-platform data in the framebuffer kext. The topic is a bit confusing. Could anyone who has a better understanding help me patch the kexts in Clover correctly as I'm not too sure how to find out which ports are used? Thanks. Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 16, 2017 What are the physical ports you have? DisplayPort, HDMI, VGA? Attach your Config file and IOReg IORegistryExplorer_v2.1.zip with HDMI and /or DP connected. Need to determine which port is active and which is not to be patched and disabled. spidey123
Hi Jake Lo. I only have HDMI as a physical port. The other three ports are USB 2.0 and one 3.0 Yes for sure here are the files. Thanks Jake Lo.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 16, 2017 Did you plug in monitor to the HDMI port? I'm not seeing anything connected. Does the HDMI port work? Does the system hang when you plug in HDMI cable? Send new IOReg after you have done so and answered all the questions.
spidey123
Yes the HDMI works. I have used it a few times before. Ok I will connect it again tonight when I get home and then resave the file. Thanks Jake Lo
spidey123
Ok Jake Lo here it is with the HDMI connected and working. I actually didn't have it connected the first time. I thought I did but this time I have 100%. Archive.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 16, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 16, 2017 I included 2 Config files. Reason is you have 4 HDMI patches enabled, I was able to eliminate 2. So I included 2 to test to see which is the best. Test Config. If you have issue with HDMI connection...hanging or reboot issue, then rename Config2 to Config and use that. spidey123
Ok thanks Jake Lo. I will test this later on and then get back to you. Thanks so much my friend.
spidey123
Hi Jake Lo unfortunately both files are not working properly. The screen just flickers constantly. I mean I can see the desktop is there but it just flashes constantly. Like a strobe light lol. The mouse freezing was gone I did notice that, but the computer is not usable. Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 17, 2017 Moderators Share Posted August 17, 2017 Ooops, mistyped the second Config. Ok, I re-upload just the second Config since the first was no working. Give that a try.
