  3. Check whether display is eDP or LVDS...if eDP, you might be out of luck. Follow this thread
  4. hey Jake thank you for the swift reply unfortunately this does boot but does not solve the issue. my particular machine was quite troublesome to even get to boot and get osx installed. I had to resort to the niersh build to get a vanilla boot. your hot patch unfortunately did not work.
  5. Please post full system's specs and attach Clover folder you're currently using. Boot with verbose + debug 0x100 mode to determine the boot issue. Post screenshot if applicable for a clearer picture of the issue
  6. Try this, replace them into /EFI/Clover, not merge Make a backup just incase with a USB installer that can boot if all goes wrong E7440_Hotpatches.zip
  7. Thanks Jake... Copying the files as it is did not work... but copying the kext folder alone and Repair permissions and rebuild cache seems to have solved the issue... I really appreciate the help.
  8. Device Information Dell E7440 I7 4600U 8GB Ram Display 1920x1080 with Touch Bios A25 I've spent a day looking through the forums trying to get this device to work properly starting with getting the installer to work and now gettin graphics to be detected properly. I have tested all of the bootpacks provided and guides with no luck I if anyone has this same machine and has a graphics fix for Mojave I would really appreciate some guidance on how to get it to show more than 7mb of ram.. I have attached my clover folder keep in mind this is what I am currently using to boot. the issue I am having right now is it will hang for about a minute then give me a igup stall error. I also asume dsdt is diferent for every machine because although I've tried may different versions the device will refuse to sleep when I close the lid. however that is not a big issue my concern is gettin graphics to work. if more information is needed please feel free to let me know exactly what you need and I will provide. I will buy you a beer if you can hel[ me figure out what is wrong. CLOVER.zip
  9. Hi, I got me an E5580. Is there a bootpack for Mojave for an E5580? I tried the HS Bootpack, which doesn't work. TIA .d
  10. Looks like we're making very good progress today... very happy. For the adventurous who prefer to keep kext in L/E, feel free to try the attached files and report back with your results for bluetooth. If firmware was uploaded successfully, you should see the following version in Sys Info: BrcmPatchRAM2.kext.zipBrcmFirmwareRepo.kext.zip
  11. I don't think Clover can read your SSDT's from anywhere other than just Patched folder. Can't really tell since the debug log in Misc is for another system. Fix that and your USB might start to work or use Hackintool to help configure your USB ports. No Optimus is still not supported in MacOS unless there's an option in the BIOS that set to only use the discrete graphics. As far as I know, it doesn't. You have SSDT-DDGPU.aml, so obvious it'll get disabled anyway.
  12. Hi lads. I've managed to make it work. I've got a 1028:0023 one. She worked fine in Linux but when I tried to boot macOS, it either hanged or caused reboot. When I masked pins as Naidis did, macOS started to boot and see the device. Actually she works with both AirPortBrcm4360 and AirPortBrcmNIC but requires AirportBrcmFixup to pass some Apple's checks. There's my config: <key>PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1c,0x07)/Pci(0x0,0x0)</key> <dict> <key>compatible</key> <string>pci14e4,4353</string> <key>AAPL,slot-name</key> <string>Built In</string> <key>name</key> <string>pci14e4,43a3</string> <key>IOName</key> <string>pci14e4,43a3</string> <key>model</key> <string>Apple Wifi Card</string> <key>device_type</key> <string>AirPort</string> </dict> where Pci(0x1c,0x07) is an IO address, there's Hervé's post about finding thereof. The "compatible" key make it work with AirPortBrcm4360 too. So brcmfx-driver=1 and brcmfx-driver=2 work and you can don't use that boot arg at all. As for Bluetooth, it seems that the actual problem is that the original BrcmPatchRAM2 uses zipped firmware and it fails. When I tried raw hex, it worked. But I don't keep anything in L/E or S/L/E, my partition is a vanilla macOS. Everything custom is in the EFI partition. So I took 3 versions of the firmware: BCM4350C5_003.006.007.0095.1703_v5799 BCM4350C5_003.006.007.0145.2724_v6820 BCM4350C5_003.006.007.0221.4688_v8784 put them into "firmwares" dir of the repo, changed in the script zhx to hex and generated the C++ file with the firmwares. I compiled against 10.14 BrcmFirmwareData and BrcmPatchRAM2 (the second isn't necessary, just for a good measure). In BrcmPatchRAM2's plist I removed everything except 0a5c_6412 since it's the matter in hand. And now everything works from clover/kexts. If you're going to try it, there's one precaution. It's better to remove and pair again an audio device after loading a new firmware. brcm_kexts.tar.gz
  13. feels like deja vu follow instructions here
  14. I installed clover and copy boot pack to internal drive I can boot fine but I still have to put -igfxvesa or else it get stuck at IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0,bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0 when I add boot with -igfxvesa I can boot fine, but I saw this message for 5-10 seconds [IGPU] Graphics driver failes to load: could not register with Framebuffer drivers!
  15. I have E6540 working almost perfectly fine with Mojave 10.14.5 except for couple of things:- 1- HDMI audio not syncing properly with TV ! I never had that issue. 2- Webcam is not working and I need it for meetings and stuff. I have attached my fully working EFI.zip also the clover origin dump files E6540_origin.zip and the Darwin Dump files hoping someone could assist DarwinDumper.zip I am also wondering is it possible now to get the E6540 to work with the AMD Radeon HD 8790M instead of the Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 but also get the HDMI working the with TV? I'd appreciate any assistance please @Jake Lo Thank you
  16. NO idea what bootpack you used above, as I don't see a bootpack above. Your files are too old. Replace the attached into /EFI/Clover replacing the file and folder. Don't merge In /L/E, remove all these. Repair permissions and rebuild cache Lilu.kext AirportBrcmFixup.kext AppleALC.kext IntelMausiEthernet.kext USBInjectAll.kext AzulPatcher4600.kext Shiki.kext IntelGraphicsFixup.kext FakeSMC.kext 9020_Mojave.zip
  17. Debug File as asked for. Also when i press the volume increase button on the keyboard, i get this symbol on the screen.
  18. Congrats. Hope somebody could figure out why we can't upload the firmware via macOS, while some of us can. Well, according to my experience, you won't lose your uploaded/cached firmware unless you shutdown and disconnect the power. Rebooting won't affect it. But this should be related to your power policy which is controlled by motherboard itself.

  20. Hotplug works, or only if the adapter was plugged in before turning laptop on?
  21. Hi Jake Thank you so much, if it was not for your guidance about the device id's i would have still been going in circles. I managed to fix it all. The trick was to do as you advised but also to NOT use WhateverGreen. When I used that I would get instability. I switched back to the old way of using CoreFixUp and IntelGfxFIxup and injected a correct EDID. The EDID I had extracted was actually flaky and causing issues too. I then used DarwinDumper to extract the proper EDID and injected it. And viola !
  22. @Naidis - you were spot on about the root cause being firmware uploads not working correctly using rehabman kext. I've managed to upload firmware from windows, and keep it persistent in Mac OS, version 4689 on both windows and Mac. Wireless bluetooth mouse now works correctly. I'm going to continue to test it out over a few days.
  23. @Naidis am I understanding correctly that with your suggestion, we would need to boot windows first every time before booting mac os?
  24. You can get HiDPI displays with the 3:2 resolution. I have it with my Surface Laptop 2 as I write this. https://github.com/syscl/Enable-HiDPI-OSX For a native setting: https://github.com/xzhih/one-key-hidpi Choose manual and input your desire resolutions Sorta of off topic: But My Surface Laptop 2 has an Ic2 keyboard that I do not no how to enable. Touchpad works with gestures but no luck with the keyboard. Your magnet keyboard is i2c? How did you get it to work. I checked your plist for the edits you mentioned to the info.plist but I couldn't find it. Nor could I find pnp0044e in your DSDT. Thanks!
  25. Wow that helped huge amount thank you, its progressed now The screen image is stable now, but it auto reboots afters few seconds or when I launch any graphics aspect such as CineBench. It is definitely the graphics doing it, as when I launch with non QE/CI system is 100% stable. Is there anything that I can check or change, or any idea what part of the framebuffer or graphics could be doing this ? Btw is there a specific framebuffer you would recommend and is it better to use WhateverGreen or the old school IntelGraphicsFixup with CoreDisplayFixUp ? Thank you
