  2. Hi all, I have a 5490 with a working trackpad (no physical buttons though). There is a small lag on the trackpad movement, so for certain movements it is not exact. On the other hand, I normally use a Magic Trackpad, which works perfectly, with no lag at all. Why hey this happens and how can I correct it? Thanks in advance.

  4. Success, re-installed Enoch but now using version 2848 onto El Capitan partition, I can now boot straight in. Sound now also working Reading up on the site to ensure prepared for next step Mojave as well as hunting for suitable boot pack.Thank you
  5. I tried that patch but there are many kernel panics (5 - 6 over 10 startup), with the patched kext there are only 1 - 2 over 10 startup. I never got rid of this issue.
  6. Thank you Jake Lo & Hervé. I think because it said installing I had a panic attack.
  7. i believe you might need a bt firmware uploader kext but i am not sure if AR9485 is supported.
  8. If you already cache FakeSMC from /L/E, that's normal. You need to understand how Clover kext injection works in relation to FakeSMC. Anyway, it's recommended to install add-on kexts in /L/E and cache, rather than inject them from E/C/k/O at boot time.
  9. Thanks @Hervé I did use #4. The TP didn’t work until I copied the next to /L/E I formatted the drive - any chance I missed a partition or something?
  10. I got to test the Dell WD15 USB Type-c docking station today. Supported OOB: HDMI, mini-DP and VGA outputs GigEthernet RJ45 port Rear USB2.0 ports Rear USB3.0 port Front USB3.0 port Front headset jack Unsupported: Rear line-out jack (tried various layouts to no effect) NB: Regarding VGA output: VGA worked OOB as single connected display, laptop booted lid closed. VGA worked as 2nd display only if connected at startup (quite usual). VGA worked alongside DP and/or HDMI but only in clone mode, not as 2nd or 3rd display. This is something apparently done at docking station level. Dell manual states it's the expected mode in 3 x displays setup but, in my case, this was experienced with DP connected, laptop's lid closed. Front headset output: VGA output (lid closed): DP/HDMI output (lid closed, with or without VGA): Dual display, built-in LCD + VGA: Dual display, built-in LCD + DP or built-in LCD + HDMI:
  11. @Achille, we need your card's specs to be able to assist. Make sure you post your debug file as requested by JakeLo. This will show us the model of Bluetooth you have and, hopefully, give you pointers to set it up properly.
  12. Perfect, this did the trick. Installation was successful.
  13. Use the revised pack I posted in the guide. It's got better I2C kexts which fully support the TouchPad, except the buttons. I've just tested USB-c WD15 docking station and it's supported near-100%. I only have 1920x1080 external displays though so cannot comment on 4k.
  14. HDMI or HDMI audio? Please post debug file with HDMI plugged in
  15. Usually after download, the installation will start. You can just stop the installation without any ill effect. You can then create an USB installer with the downloaded Mojave app. (1) Create the USB installer via Terminal with "createinstallmedia" (a minimum of 16GB UFD is needed or an external USB drive) sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/"target_USB" --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app --nointeraction Note: target_USB = name of the USB drive you're writing to. When done, USB Drive will automatically renamed to "Install MacOS Mojave" (2) Install Clover with following config, add appropriate Bootpack to /EFI/Clover UEFI: Install for UEFI booting only Install Clover in the ESP Drivers64UEFI\DataHubDxe-64 Drivers64UEFI\FSInject-64 Drivers64UEFI\SMCHelper-64 Drivers64UEFI\ApfsDriverLoader-64 Drivers64UEFI\AptioMemoryFix-64 Drivers64UEFI\PartitionDxe-64 Install Clover Preference Pane Finally add to Drivers64UEFI\HFSPlus.efi (not included in Clover installer) Note2: The new format will be APFS, there's no way to use HFS+ unless you clone the drive to an HFS+ formatted drive.
  16. I didn't add other files to highlight that the solution is within the the patched ACPI files. Anyways, this is my clover folder CLOVER.zip. Specs: CPU: i5-5200U, HD5500 GPU: Nvidia 920m BIOS: A14
  17. Remove all the PS2 kext and replace with this one. It's a generic kext but you should have touchpad and track stick capability including 2 fingers scrolling. ApplePS2Controller.kext.zip
  18. @Hervé Update, had to install kext to L/E. Trackpad works, 3/4" at a time. Not usable for daily driver, hence the recommendation I assume for an external one. Any others that might need this? DP over USB-C works too, but at default resolutions. I had this working at full 4k at one point, but don't recall how I pulled it off. JM

  20. the strange this is that the same stick works in my big Hackintosh without any problem...
  21. Thank you, will try first re-install Enoch on El Capitan partition with all my fingers and toes crossed Then next step being looking into fresh version via Mojave & clover. If it saves my files brilliant. When downloading via app store, can I stop it loading onto laptop to ensure Mojave is only in applications & I can then copy it onto USB? Sorry for stupid question but its been a wee while since I have done this.
  22. Hi, Running OSXL have always been a mission we have been proud of - from the early days of D4x0 we could never have imagined that OSXL would grow to what it is today - a safe and nice place where hackintosh and macOS nerds can meet, have fun and play around. But running OSXL also have costs.. hosting.. the forum software.. mail service.. dns .. it cost.. and it never gets cheaper - so faar donations usually covers less than 5% of our operating cost. So.. what todo ? OSXL have always been against showing commercial ads our site - mostly because it slows down the site and ruin the user experience - personally .. i hate a slow website. So, we always explore new options (specially if its fun.. like the seedbox partnership) Anyway, today Brave browser launched - brave browser is (besides being a really nice web browser) - is a browser that allows its users to earn $BAT (a crypto currency) and donate those earned Bat(s) to websites they visit. We have enabled donations to the site - both automatic - but also by using the browsers build-in functionality. Wanna test brave browser? .. head over to: https://brave.com/osx926 (Btw, brave gives us 5 USD for each download, so you having fun testing a new browser, is also helping us and by that yourself) ... and may this be a hint of more fun stuff with cryptocurrencies coming your way //OSXLteam
  23. No, you can install a fresh version over your existing one without needing to remove anything. That method will actually retain all your apps and data.
  24. Sorry my fault I meant if I download any osx (el cap not in applications any more) can I let it install to laptop or is there something I need to do to stop it installing before I can copy to USB ?
  25. No, you'd have to have the system fully running under Clover for that.
  26. Thanks Hervé (as always ) no boot options able to enter unfortunately, keyboard unable to enter anything at boot screen/s Its been a while but if I go via app store and download Mojave can I let it run when it says loading to laptop? I
