  1. Hi, I have a D430 with a 120gb Runcore .. my advice.. stick with Runcore or photofast.. and stay away from kingspec... Look here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/230-benchmarks/ ... take a good note of my harddisk performance...

    iBoot 1.4

Any one seen a changelog ?.. Have anyone tested it yet ?
  3. Joe, you can allways recover... i'm tested the one for D4x0, D5x0 .. its quite safe.. as soon as i get my hands on a some others i will test on those
  4. Two notes.. 1. Dont pirate to OSX, its to cheap to do anything else 2. There is guides on www.osxlatitude.com
  5. Ok, let me end this one - since its my call on how EDP is dist. First of all, you should never use a case sensitive file system, it leads to more problems than good. Second of all, all files in EDP will always be distributed in lower case, again, because case sensitive is crap to deal with - in this case, it would be better if chameleon-team correct their code .. my motto is "keep it clean, keep it simple"

    OSX 10.6.6

Hey mate, Sorry to say so, but i think you have a fried instllation.. you should work out of the box
  7. Hi, Depends alot on what you are planing to use it for ? My advice(s)... 1. Get the 1,33ghz model 2. Give it a SSD drive (eg. Runcore) 3. Give it 2gb memory I use my D430 every day.. its a fast nice little machine.. i would rather have a D430 than a macbook air.. better keyboard.. good performance etc.
  8. Try and follow the guide like we write on the wiki 1. Install 2. Boot into osx 3. bootloader 4. Install EDP 5. Install updates via update menu 6. REBOOT .. dont reboot before this step... 7. Apply fixes such as sleep...

    Benchmarks

Here is my geekbench... .. see yourself beaten by a D430
  10. did it help to clear caches ? works for me every time (somehow -f dosent seem to work)
  11. DDR2, kingston 800mhz 2gb blocks.. buy 2
  12. log files is in /var/log check this out.. 1. open terminal 2. type: tail -f /var/log/kernel.log /var/log/system.log This will show you the two logs as things comes into them.. really nice... To copy the log files.. do... cp /var/log/kernel.log / cp /var/log/system.log / now open finder, and you will notice the two .log files in /
  13. Look at my D430 post, there is a fix for that
  14. I think he allready have tested it =)
  15. Hi, This is my Research thread, so note that alot of things might change. Initial install: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250104&st=0 However, add voodooTSCSync.kext also to the installation. Kexts added to /s/l/e (all from EDP): * AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext * FakeSMC.kext * IONetworkingFamily.kext (fixes LAN, but seems to break wifi) * NullCPUPowerManagement.kext * VoodooTSCSync.kext * VoodooHDA.kext * VoodooPS2controller.kext (debug version) Not working (yet): * Restart Notes: * It seems Lion is really slow when it can't find any network * I have to clear /System/Library/Caches before every boot or it wont boot Fixed: Problem: Wifi does not work and OSX is slow Solution: Renamed "/S/L/SystemConfiguration/Apple80211Monitor.bundle" to .bundle_ to prevent it from loading
  16. weird.. both should work out of the box.. look under system profiler.. is any of them detected ? I should get some sleep.. but i dont like when a latitude is in distress
  17. ok.. so bring me up to speed (i'm luying sick in bed, hence my brain is working slow) .. what is working.. and what isent ?
  18. ok.. maybe i missed it in your list.. btw.. is yours with Nvidia graphics or Intel graphics ?
  19. you forgot to update to 10.6.6 before reboot
  20. Check this out... http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/900e4/How_to_do_a_new_build.html
  21. Your error was that you did a rebuild from default, and not did a new build...
  22. Think i'm gonna leave Lion for a while, it runs slow as a horse ass anyway .. time to prepare EDP for 10.6.7
