Extract the BCMxxxx kext from the bootpack and copy it to /Extra/Extensions. Run myFix (full) and reboot.
Basically, similar problem as detailed here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/2112-snow-leopard-on-d620-no-sound/

You won't be able to boot without a bootloader and, if you friend's Mac does not closely ressembles your D830 hardwarewise, good luck!!!
Is there a particular reason why you won't partition your disk GUID?
-
Don't you simply need a TRIM enabler tool/app that you will use to enable TRIM on your SSD drive? A simple Google search will get you one.
-
It seems I cannot boot at all anymore. It remains blocked at: Read HFS+ file .... bytes
That's the result we've noticed when you have Chameleon module 'FileNVRAM.dylib' on /Extra/modules + a Chameleon boot file pre-v2169/2170. Remove that module and you'll be able to boot normally again. Meantime, try to boot off your USB installer.
-
Check that your USB installer contains a kext called IOATAFamily in /Extra/Extensions. If it's not there, search recent forum posts in D8xx section for invisible/missing SATA drive. I've copied the kext in one of my replies earlier this week.

To get help on the DSDT table, follow the process detailed here: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/1945-dsdtssdt-patching/

Why don't you upgrade to 10.7.5? It's fully validated on the D630...
-
You should not have any errors. Make sure you have a proper retail version of 10.6.3 as only the retail version has all the necessary installation files...
-
Then you may have a defective USB key. Try a low level format with a windows tool maybe.
-
How did you partition/format that USB key? I'd recommend you went for a GUID partition formatted OS X (journaled).
-
Copy it to /E/E (=/Extra/Extensions).
-
<_ like i said:>"get it from the bootpack, copy it to /E/E and re-run myFix (full)"
-
You need BCM5722D kext in /E/E. If EDP does not appear to install it (something we need to look into), get it from the bootpack, copy it to /E/E and re-run myFix (full).
-
Mmm, you should have 'AppleBCM5751Ethernet' kext in /E/E. It's in the bootpack but it appears to be left behind during EDP kext installation phase. That will be fixed asap.
-
Re: Ethernet, there should be a BCM57xxx kext in /E/E. I can't explain why that'd be missing all of a sudden. We need to look at EDP to check if that has gone missing for some reason.
I'll check things up on my D620 GMA950 tonight and let you know.
-
Look for AppleHDA and Stac9200 kexts or VoodooHDA in your /Extra/Extensions folder. If they're missing, you'll have no sound.
-
My knowledge is fairly limited regarding audio, but I'm pretty sure that the headphone Jack socket does not support S/PDIF. That's a basic analog output only.
The port replicator/docking station does however have a RCA socket which supports S/PDIF (the socket is labelled SPDIF), but I have no idea whether that is supported under OS X on the D Series. If you have one, try it.
-
Yep, it works pretty well and the screen improved crispness is really nice under ML.
-
No T9400 in a D630, unless you want it to run slow: it's FSB1066. You'd need a PLL-mod to support those FSB1066 CPUs.
So, unless you have such a mod, only the T9300 or T9500 FSB800 can be used.
-
Go to full editor mode then upload your file.
-
Boot with option 'GenerateCStates=No', then if you get to desktop, list the kexts in /Extra/Extensions folder + all the selected options/parameters of your Chameleon boot plist (install Chameleon Wizard and post a screendump). What CPU do you have in your D430?
-
Erm, you'll need to provide a bit more details. 1st of all, list your D630 specs, then assuming you're installing ML, make sure it's the nVidia model and that you've used the right bootpack.
-
Don't worry about the CPU reaching the 80°C, my T7500 does that too under heavy load. TJunction is 105°C, so there a large reserve before the CPU would auto-shutdown. The D630 will handle that CPU or T9xxx without problems. The fan might just get on at high speed more frequently.

If there's no PCIe x16, I'd say it's Q963 which is limited to integrated video. Q965/G965 both support integrated video + discrete PCIe x16 add-on card.

You download the bootpack (it goes as "Extra" to 'download' folder of user account by default). You run myHack -> Create Extra and point to the downloaded bootpack. That's it.
For EDP, you download the app, install it and run it. Start by building the pack relevant to your system. Then you may run other utilities, but they're optional.
