  1. You download the bootpack (it goes as "Extra" to 'download' folder of user account by default). You run myHack -> Create Extra and point to the downloaded bootpack. That's it.

For EDP, you download the app, install it and run it. Start by building the pack relevant to your system. Then you may run other utilities, but they're optional.

  2. It seems I cannot boot at all anymore. It remains blocked at: Read HFS+ file .... bytes

That's the result we've noticed when you have Chameleon module 'FileNVRAM.dylib' on /Extra/modules + a Chameleon boot file pre-v2169/2170. Remove that module and you'll be able to boot normally again. Meantime, try to boot off your USB installer.

  3. Re: Ethernet, there should be a BCM57xxx kext in /E/E. I can't explain why that'd be missing all of a sudden. We need to look at EDP to check if that has gone missing for some reason.

I'll check things up on my D620 GMA950 tonight and let you know.

  4. My knowledge is fairly limited regarding audio, but I'm pretty sure that the headphone Jack socket does not support S/PDIF. That's a basic analog output only.

The port replicator/docking station does however have a RCA socket which supports S/PDIF (the socket is labelled SPDIF), but I have no idea whether that is supported under OS X on the D Series. If you have one, try it.
