  1. Oh wow, that't it Jake Lo? I thought for sure there would need to be more entries and extra kexts. Alright then I'll just get a config.plist ready and enable FixHeaders_20000000. Thanks Jake Lo.
  2. Ok well thats good to know. Thx for the heads up bronxteck!!! This won't be a problem on my Latitude because I'm only running OSX. I have windows dual booting on my Inspiron 3542 and since I just got that one working recently on Sierra, I'm going to be leaving it alone for a while or at least till I have gotten everything up and running on the Latitude.
  3. Oh that's right Herve. I had forgotten. The new file system is only for SSD's. Hmmm I guess I do with first try the normal way on a normal HDD and once I see everything works then I will put on my main SSD drive. Ok thanks again as always.
  4. Ok thanks Jake Lo, I think I have a spare drive that I'm going to install it on for testing. As like you said this is my primary pc and sometimes I even have to use it at work. The new features however and file system have gotten me excited to start testing As for the new Clover driver, would that go into the same folder as the older HFSPlus.efi? Ok I will start testing once the final version is released next week. Ok Ill look for the correct bootpacks and take a look at them. Thanks Jake Lo
  5. Hello everyone, I thought I'd create this post today to talk about High Sierra, which will be officially released on the 25th of September. I was wondering if anyone has had any success with the Beta's on the Dell Latitudes. If so, what did you find worked and what didn't? Obviously everyone will have a better idea of things in a few weeks after it's released, but I just wanted to get an idea. Thanks team OSXLatitude.
  6. Well I haven't gotten a chance to get another HDMI yet but the thread was about the freezing so I think this one can be marked solved despite the HDMI problems as obviously those existed for a while but I just didn't know. I can start another thread for the HDMI problems. Thanks again to everyone who helped out.
  7. Hmmm ok thanks for the suggestions guys. I will see if I can try that out tomorrow.
  8. Hi Jake Lo, so I made an error. This was the same even with the old config.plist Not sure when this issue was introduced as I haven't tried HDMI on it in sometime. This is my spare computer but I've started using it more and more now. Kind of weird the purple tint seems to only happen on my Toshiba tv. Tried it on my friends Samsung TV and its fine. just a tad too big for the screen and as long as the under scan slider is there it can be fixed. Anyhow just thought I let you finally know. Either way the computer runs much better now with the newer config. Thanks again Jake Lo and Herve as well for your input.
  9. Ok so I decided to try out the current .config on the HDTV that I usually use and this time I could use the underscan slider but the colours are purple. On my other tv the colours are correct but the desktop was too big for the screen and the underscan slider wasn't available in the Display Pref menu. Here is an image of what I see on my normaly watched HDTV. I know that this doesn't happen with the older .config.plist
  10. Sorry I haven't been able to try it yet. Been really busy at work the last few days. Hopefully tomorrow.
  11. I'm not sure Jake Lo. I can't remember. I'll check it out tomorrow. Herve, ok I will also give that a shot. I have a feeling you're correct that it is the TV. I'll test it tomorrow and then let the team know. Thanks guys.
  12. Ok Jake Lo, gave it a shot and it works :D Only small issue is that the resolution is a bit off when I connect the HDMI. The top and bottom of the desktop doesn't show up, the menu doesn't display but its not a problem because I can control the menu on the PC desktop so I think you can add this one to the solved section. Thanks again for all your help.
  13. Ok thank you Jake Lo. Will test this tonight. If it doesn't work then thats ok. I don't want you to keep wasting your time. You've done so much already.
  14. Ok finally got a chance to try it out. Unfortunately same result. The screen starts flashing and flickering like a strobe, I can't even look at the screen and I mean this is even before I hook up the HDMI. So not sure what could be causing the flashing. Thanks for trying my friend.
  15. Ok thanks Jake Lo, will give it a shot tonight and let you know in the morning. Thanks again for all your hard work.
  16. Hi Jake Lo unfortunately both files are not working properly. The screen just flickers constantly. I mean I can see the desktop is there but it just flashes constantly. Like a strobe light lol. The mouse freezing was gone I did notice that, but the computer is not usable.
  17. Ok thanks Jake Lo. I will test this later on and then get back to you. Thanks so much my friend.
  18. Ok Jake Lo here it is with the HDMI connected and working. I actually didn't have it connected the first time. I thought I did but this time I have 100%. Archive.zip
  19. Yes the HDMI works. I have used it a few times before. Ok I will connect it again tonight when I get home and then resave the file. Thanks Jake Lo
  20. Hi Jake Lo. I only have HDMI as a physical port. The other three ports are USB 2.0 and one 3.0 Yes for sure here are the files. Thanks Jake Lo.
  21. Been a while my friends. Apparently there has been a fix for the intial boot mouse freezing. I've been reading over at another forum and Rehabman seems to have figured out the problem. The solution appears to be removing unused connectors from the ig-platform data in the framebuffer kext. The topic is a bit confusing. Could anyone who has a better understanding help me patch the kexts in Clover correctly as I'm not too sure how to find out which ports are used? Thanks.
  22. I actually have an SSD, don't but for me it still lasts for about 45 seconds. Nevertheless, its just a test machine for me.
  23. Just wanted to say that the issue has to do with Haswell CPU's Don't believe there are any fixes. It's ok though. It just happens for less then a minute then all is well. Maybe in the future there will be a fix. Thx for the help everyone.
  24. Ok I will have to take a look. I only have 8gb and unfortunately this version has only one ram slot. Not sure if it could support a 16 GB stick or not. It might, Dell says no, but they also said that the Dell Latitude e6420 can only support 8GB but I 've heard many are running 2x8gb sticks. I'll look into it. Thanks again.
  25. Ok so not Sophos related. Always best to look for the easy fix first lol.
