Taskmaste
Alright I'm gonna try reinstalling it but only transferring Applications, and manually getting all my documents, so no weird stuff like old kexts get mixed in with the new operating system. Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 30, 2017 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2017 Holy Moly, that's a lot of kexts. Probably most are not needed, and some are duplicate doing the same thing. Launch this DPCIManager https://sourceforge.net/projects/dpcimanager/ Post screenshot of Status and PCI List also launch this and save file IOReg IORegistryExplorer_v2.1.zip Post them here. Did you patch your own DSDT?

Taskmaste
Yes, I used RehabMan's brightness and HD 3000 DSDT patches but I don't think they did anything.

Taskmaste
I did this and things are still kinda freezing up too much. On a second note, I installed it on another drive partition and it looks to be doing better and not freezing. So I'm just gonna migrate my applications and report back to if everything goes to shit or not.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted October 30, 2017 Moderators Share Posted October 30, 2017 Better you start from scratch with source build from the Appstore and not a Distro. Since you have a semi working hack, you could download 10.12.6 from Appstore and build a clean installer.
