abraxis
tldrbro, can you send me the kext your using for your trackpad? Also where do i install? S/L/E, L/E or clover?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 27, 2017 He's using the ApplePS2Controller which goes in /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other It's in the bootpack I linked. I've done nothing to the kext, it's all in the DSDT patching that I'm testing so that no I2C kext is required
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 27, 2017 @tldrbro, for some reason is not generating the IOReg file. Can you run this and save it before sleep and after sleep and attach them here? Thanks IOReg IORegistryExplorer_v2.1.zip
tldrbro
Here are the files. I did some more testing and this is what i found. Normal boot -> Trackpad OK, backlight and headphones audio NOK Wake from sleep-> Trackpad NOK, backlight and headphones audio OK Reboot after wake from sleep -> Trackpad NOK, backlight and headphones audio NOK<------> Normally the trackpad should be okay as a normal boot. This behaviour stays trough multiple reboots ( tried 4 times). I ran the debug in that state as well, you will find it in attachement. If I turn off the computer and start it manually, it behaves once again as a normal boot. So once trackpad is deactivated because of sleep, it will stay in that state until the computer is turned off completely. Note: i saved manually the ioregs each time so the one after reboot should be the same as the one in the generated debug archive. ioReg_Before_Sleep.zip Ioreg_After_sleep.zip ioReg_After_reboot.zip debug_4858_After_reboot.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 27, 2017 Not seeing any difference in the IOReg files. I've attached 2 kexts. Replace VoodooPS2Controller to /EFI/Clover/kexts/Other, remove ApplePS2Controller. Replace EAPDFix.kext to /L/E, repair permission and rebuild cache. testKexts.zip
tldrbro
Hi Jake. Headphones audio now works perfectly even before sleep.Trackpad behaviour is still the same as before ( and no trackpad preference as well).
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 27, 2017 Try this kext instead since it's an Alps
tldrbro
Trackpad and keyboard do not work at all with that kext.
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 27, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 27, 2017 Ok, remove that then. Try placing ApplePS2Controller in /L/E instead Repair permission and rebuild cache
