Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 28, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 28, 2017 Can you test these 2 DSDT? Make a backup of the original Replace with DSDT, see how that goes. Then replace with DSDT-2, rename as DSDT.aml and test that. Attach IOReg of the results 7280_touchpad.zip
tldrbro
Here are the results. It's still the same concerning the trackpad, still deactivated after wake from sleep but else it's okay. However backlight becomes way more erratic. It boots with the screen at the lowest brightnes, almost pitch black. I had to do a hard reset to get the backlight at a normal level. Still can't control it if not waking from sleep. That was for both the DSDTs. It has also happened with the original DSDT. The backlight issue (power management in general?) is actually the most troublesome. DSDT-Tests.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 28, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 28, 2017 @tldrbro while you were using the E7x70 files, did you experience this same issue with touchpad after sleep?
tldrbro
Yes it was the same with 7x70 bootpack.
abraxis
Does closing the notebook actually activate sleep. Mine doesn't seem to work. Jake can I use any of the dsdts you posted for tldrbro?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 29, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 29, 2017 I believe you're booting without DSDT/SSDT correct? Use the bootpack I sent tldrbro, update to latest from here It'll be good to know if you're experiencing the same issue with touchpad with new files
tldrbro
@abraxis Yes in my case closing the lid activates sleep (takes about 20 second to get in sleep, before it's just the screen that is off). Only with the bootpack Jake Lo posted.
abraxis
Hi Jake, Here are my ioregs with dsdt 1 and 2. No trackpad and wifi disappeared. Keyboard does work same as without dsdts. Also Boot up takes much longer (white apple screen) and crash on shutdown. DSDT 1.zip DSDT 2.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 1, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 1, 2017 You have left out all the SSDT's... Here, replace these into /EFI/Clover. Files are for Kabylake HD620. tldrbro's system is Skylake HD520, so it's not suitable for your system. My mistake. Test and report 7280_HD620.zip
