Inspiron 15 7548: issues post High Sierra supplement update (10.13.2 17C205)

Hello Everyone,

 

I ran the 10.13.2 supplement update and upon restart system hangs and reboots, tried different combination of boot arguments to no avail. the update does create a "install macOS HD" partition while my main partition remains intact and I can go back to macOS High Sierra 10.13.2 and nothing seems to be broken. I just don't know why the update doesn't go through and instead reboots. any help is appreciated, thanks.

Revert CoreStorage and try again

Clover will boot the "install macOS on ..." partition, not Enoch. This is due to CoreStorage as stated above by JakeLo, You have to revert partitions to legacy mode and -probably- rebuild your cache.

thank you for the response, when I try the command to revert Corestorage as stated by Jake lo nothing happens. as you can see i tried it in all the volumes and it says that the disks are not logical volumes.

CoreStorage is not enabled on your disk, so you obviously can't revert anything!

Make sure you're on the latest Clover. Boot with verbose + debug 0x100 mode to get a better idea of why it fails.

I did this before but the error message says to “ please go to http://panic.apple.comto report this panic”, And I’m not able to see the error because it scrolls up so fast, I’ll make a video and see if I can capture it.
