Dan_Marshall Posted September 30, 2018 Share Posted September 30, 2018 Hi guys 0 successfully upgraded to Mojave on my Dell E5450 - update went smoothly however lost sound. Originally on the ALC293 however in a way to enable audio installed AppleALC with whatever green kext and disabled the patches in config plist however no luck. Hoping I can get some help ? Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 30, 2018 Moderators Share Posted September 30, 2018 You need to change the layout-id to 11 for HDEF and HDAU in the DSDT and disable the AppleHDA patches in Config file. Here patched it for you, just replace these 2 files. I actually posted again as there is a battery / power issue in this thread along with the debug files - And by the way - now on ALC sound many thanks!!! Works a treat!
