Administrators Hervé Posted November 10, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2019 From a pure cache rebuilding point of view, it is correct. From a kext point of view, well, I question the relevance of some of those kexts you've chosen to install (VoodooTSCSync, NullCPUPowerManagement, etc.). You're clearly not using the pack Jake Lo gave you...
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 10, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2019 Exactly what I expected. Don't know what version they are and lots of unnecessary kexts especially AppleHDA_ALC256.kext for Audio. Remove the following from /L/E VoodooTSCSync.kext XHCI-unsupported.kext FakeSMC.kext VoodooPS2Controller.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext WhateverGreen.kext FakePCIID.kext USBInjectAll.kext RealtekRTL8111.kext Lilu.kext FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext AppleHDA_ALC256.kext AirportBrcmFixup.kext SATA-unsupported.kext NoTouchID.kext ACPIBatteryManager.kext AppleALC.kext CodecCommander.kext Remove from /S/L/E AppleALC.kext run the permission.sh again and reboot
gengstapo
Ive follow as instructed but it stuck after reboot I turn off & on for second times & only it load This my ioregistry & permission look like Note: Seems the volume is there, selected output internal internal speaker but no sound when playing video Now my keyboard cant copy paste, previously it can by holding Alt + c/ p Thx ioregistry2.zip permission2.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 11, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2019 AppleHDA_ALC255.kext didn't show up in /S/L/E on your last output, did you just add that there? You shouldn't need to add anything to /L/E or /S/L/E other than CodecCommander.kext to /L/E Go ahead and remove AppleHDA_ALC255.kext and VoodooPS2Controller from /L/E and AppleHDA_ALC255.kext from /S/L/E run permission.sh again No need to quote me on the replies. thanks. I didn't add those kext but maybe at earlier stage before I seeking advise here This is the result for I-registry & permission Thx ioregistry3.zip permission3.zip
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 11, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2019 IOReg file looks good. Only thing I could think of to improve is to generate your own USB port kext. Right now the system has no usb port limit set. You should remove any ports not use to smooth out the system, See here how to do it. Port limit patches ae already included in my files you are using https://osxlatitude.com/forums/topic/12097-e6530-catalina-gm-problems-with-usb-ports/?do=findComment&comment=94774
gengstapo
Oh ok What is this USB port limit thingy? Does it necessary?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted November 11, 2019 Moderators Share Posted November 11, 2019 No it's not necessary. The port limit issue has been around a few MacOS versions.
