kangarootime
@Jake Lo Hey man I thought I'd let you know I you are the best -- stumbled upon your config here and used it for Catalina, eons more than the progress I had made so far. I really appreciate it

Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 2, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 2, 2020 How long did you let it sit?
esmith1966
30 mins or so... I will try again... Will let it sit for a bit then...
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 3, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2020 No, shouldn't take that long. Try adding to boot arg -igfxvesa
esmith1966
... exactly how do you do that in OpenCore... at the boot screen in Clover you could tap the space bar and get options... I am getting a purely text list of boot disk in OpenCore... not disk icons...
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 3, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 3, 2020 We can add the GUI boot later once you're up and running. For now, to add that boot arg, you need to open Config file with Xcode or PlistEdit Pro, go down to NVRam/Add/7C436110-AB2A-4BBB-A880-FE41995C9F82/boot-args and add it to the end the string. esmith1966
would there be any particular reason why the USB drive no longer appears in the custom boot menu as a boot option? Is there some method to "bless" the USB drive so the computer sees it as bootable?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted August 4, 2020 Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2020 If you were booting from the USB and then selected 'Reset NVRam', it's been renamed to OpenCore. To see the USB drive again, go into the BIOS and remove that boot option.
