Mihari Oyama
I have converted from OpenCore to Clover due to shutdown issue (Fan still running, I need to force power-off.) and I have this problem: I2C TouchPad stop working. I2C TouchPad in OpenCore is working well. I tried to re-patch but no success. Now I'm using ApplePS2SmartTouchPad without gesture. Anyone can help me patch this? 3542 Clover.zip

Baio77
Analyzing ioreg: your Dell does not have I2C trackpad so you have to try different version of VoodooPS2, or maybe directly the version of Rehabman.
Administrators Hervé Posted February 11, 2022 Administrators Share Posted February 11, 2022 A simple look at the Dell support web site would have shown this Haswell laptop is fitted with a good old 'legacy' Synaptics touchpad. I2C hardware came with much later generations... https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-us/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=9nnk9&oscode=w764&productcode=inspiron-15-3542-laptop&lwp=rt https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/prerequisites.html#prerequisites "[CRUCIAL] Know your hardware"
Mihari Oyama
How about this image? I found it when I was installing Windows. This laptop might have I2C Trackpad?
