DaFOB
Should be fine. I've been updating without any issues and I'm on 10.8.2.
norc0809
HI, I followed the steps and I have successfully installed 10.8.2 . Everything works. (however, I had to swap out the wifi card for a apple compatible "broadcom chipset" to get wifi, It was easier to get one on ebay for 10 bucks. It' worth it., i even got 5g to work. Like I said everything works. Sleep works too, "after the terminal command" as instructed, however the shut down does not work properly. Sometime I shuts down ok, but other times mostly. by button or command clink. (which ever) and it hangs for a little , (grey screen), and starts at the login screen and does not shut down. I have to hold the power button to force it. anyone found a solution for this? its a little annoying. Thanks
norc0809
Thanks guys. Does anyone know if we can install the update? I read earlier that someone tried and it messed up the App Store. Mine handled the update with no issues. im at 10.8.

bjk89
The NVIDIA GPU from my E6400 get too hot. It goes over 75 degrees celcius. Is it normal? At 76 degrees the fan goes on and dont stop. System is Mountain Lion 10.8.2.
ReneK
Same here, my CPU temp goes to 79 deg. Celcius. Don't know if the GPU runs hot also.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted February 27, 2013 Administrators Share Posted February 27, 2013 have you tried adding nullcpu and sleep enabler kexts to E/E? and check the temps?
ReneK
I'll try that and report back....
ReneK
Thanks, this seems to work a lot better! Temps stay around 50 deg.C. when idle. I think this is normal for Dell. Even better, temps go down agan after stressing CPU, never did that before (stayed at 79+ deg.). Sleepenabler works, but gives me a black screen when waking up. Any tips on that ?
