I've also tried using BTFirmwareUploader.kext but it doesn't load. Please help.
Administrators Hervé Posted November 10, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2018 0cf3:e005 appears to be Atheros AR3012. It is not in the list of supported devices of p1 so follow the instructions given on that page for such instances. Simple, eh? May not work of course! Cuong Tran
Hi Hervé, I checked and see that there is a guy who has the card working on High Sierra? Thank you.

rotoyouoio
I have found a dirty way to make ar3012 and perhaps other stuff initially supported by this kext work in 10.13.6. No VM or other crazy methods are needed. What I've done is I installed 10.12.6 usb kexts over the original: IOUSBHostFamily.kext.zip IOUSBFamily.kext.zip
kekkei
That's very unstable method ,right ! I think @EMlyDinEsHcan pretty much fix this but seems like he just got invisible at once from long days ...:(

Mine is working with the VM method. But I want to load without opening VM. I replaced both the `IOUSBHostFamily` and `IOUSBFamily` from S/L/E. and kept BTFirmwareUploader.kext inside `Clover/kexts/Others`. Still bluetooth is not getting detected. Cuong Tran
My card was natively recognized on mac Catalina but didn't find any devices ( magic mouse and magic keyboard ). Would somebody give me a solution? PS: The card was not recognized on mac Mojave as here: Vendor ID: 0x0CF3 Product ID: 0xE005 Thank you.
Administrators Hervé Posted November 2, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 2, 2019 Why do you keep posting about that same old issue in this thread when a solution has already been posted here and here? This being said, if this still fails to sort out your DW1707 Bluetooth issue, I think it's fair to say that: given it does not work in High sierra given it does not work in Mojave given it does not work in Catalina it probably will never work (again). Mateo1212
I Have a DW1703 that is AR3012. i found a way to make the VM method work for Catalina 10.15.4. its a hacky method that will break if you update unless you undo it before you take an update. this is a rough guideline. make Mac disk RW make EFI Visable remove/copy IOBluetoothFamily.kext from S/L/E Place IOBluetoothFamily.kext in C/K/O rebuild caches this part repeats everytime you boot: boot with IOBluetoothFamily.kext and its underlings disabled in clover proceed with vm method REBOOT (without turning off) back into mac os without disabling in clover EDIT= another less destructive way get setup to do vm method once vm is open go to bluetooth page in ubnutu in the add usb/bluetooth window of vmwarefusion spam the checkbox for your wireless device (will only disconect from mac for a second) untill you are able to turn device on and off using key combo Attatched is screenshot proof
