Zeppo
OK, OSXL community! We are as far as we could get with dev and testing of the new EDP packages. You are getting those due courtesy of OSXL Crew, but mainly Leon, Bronx Teck, CRC and Daniel. You can find the download files here Here are the changelogs: Activity log for EDP 1.9.2 - Snow Leopard ONLY! ------------------------------ 07/10-2011 Daniel Replaced /Models/D620-intel/Extensions/AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext with another one - because it doesn't worked with Lion, now the fixed one works 09/10-2011 Leon Updated voodooHDA.kext with new ID's 14/10-2011 Leon Updated build mode with support for both x86 and x64 03/11-2011 Leon Updated the Chameleon theme to a new OSXLatitude theme 17/11-2011 Leon Updated "Hardware info" and "cWizzard" apps in storages/apps 17/11-2011 Leon Updated Chameleon in storage/apps to 2.1 r1684 17/11-2011 Leon Added support for Dell Precision M4300 (Created by CRC) 17/11-2011 Leon Updated the "Hardware info" application Activity log for EDP 2.2 ------------------------------ 05/10-2011 Leon Renamed /Extra/storage/fixes/appleintelintergratedframebuffer to /Extra/storage/fixes/Lion-gma950fix - now the GMA fix will work 07/10-2011 Daniel Replaced /Models/D620-intel/Extensions/AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext with another one (because it doesn't worked with Lion, now the fixed one works) 09/10-2011 Leon Updated voodooHDA.kext with new ID's 12/10-2011 Leon Added new build method where we will be using OSX's kernelcache. The new method, includes adding all kexts to a dummy next called 0edp.kext, this file is then copied to /System/Libary/Extentions and new kernel Cache is automatically generated 12/10-2011 Leon Extracted all plugin kexts from kextspacks so they can be loaded via the new method 12/10-2011 Leon Removed the backup method doLastConfigBackup(), using the new build method i do not see any reason to do backups 03/11-2011 Leon Updated the Chameleon theme to a new OSXLatitude theme 10/11-2011 Bronxteck fixed bug in option 7 in fixme.sh 16/11-2011 Leon Fixed build bug in fixme.sh when using GMAfix 16/11-2011 Leon Removed path.sh since its no longer used 17/11-2011 Leon Re-designed path system to include two new vars, $SLEPATH and $ROOTPATH, now EDP 2.x supports multipath again (means: you can install EDP onto another partition and use it there) 17/11-2011 Leon Updated "Hardware info" and "cWizzard" apps in storages/apps 17/11-2011 Leon Updated Chameleon in storage/apps to 2.1 r1684 17/11-2011 Leon Added support for Dell Precision M4300 (Created by CRC) 17/11-2011 Leon Refactored rebuild.sh and fixme.sh and moved path generators to getPaths.sh 17/11-2011 Leon Added multipath support for GMA-fix script 17/11-2011 Leon Removed support for AppleACPIBatteryManager.kext, because its known to create KP in Lion, the kept is still in the package, but not active during build. You will notice one major change in EDP 2.2: 0edp.kext. It is a new build method, which allows to use the variable "UserKernelCache=Yes" in your org.Chameleon.Boot.plist. What does that mean? Well, all your specific kexts are copied into one kext (0edp.kext) which is then copied to your /System/Library/Extensions and from there on it is treated as Lions own kext. This speeds up the boot process considerably (this multi-kext is loaded as one of the first). Lion does not need to go trough all kexts and find out what configuration fits. Lion just knows. I hope we covered all the bases. But, as you know, hackintoshing is not an exact science. We tested on all models available to us - and it worked nicely. But, like always, your mileage may vary. Have fun! Your OSXL Crew
