nothing for ethernet shows in the picture

but according to http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/precision-t1600/drivers there are 2 ethernet cards that it can be.

one being intel the other broadcom.

for intel try http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304235-intelmausiethernetkext-for-intel-onboard-lan/

 and if broadcom try http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304337-bcm57xx-network-with-native-apple-drivers-oob-no-patching/

i guess you can look in windows or linux to see what you have.

If the Intel is 82579LM, it's the same as fitted to E6x20/E6x30 models. The AppleIntelE1000e kext should therefore work. If the Ethernet is not showing in DPCIManager, there's a good chance it's disabled in BIOS...

Herve, thank you. Indeed, NIC was disabled in the bios and E1000e has me up and running. I'm faced with the issue of auto-restart upon shutdown presently. Other than that, I think I'll accept that VGA is my port of forced choice for proper graphics. I've disassembled my acpi files from clover f4 dump in an effort to patch my DSDT and relevant SSDT files, however I was faced with errors in my DSDT (syntax related) that I could not resolve. I have attached my .dsl files. Thank you.
