spidey123
Hi Jake Lo, so I made an error. This was the same even with the old config.plist Not sure when this issue was introduced as I haven't tried HDMI on it in sometime. This is my spare computer but I've started using it more and more now. Kind of weird the purple tint seems to only happen on my Toshiba tv. Tried it on my friends Samsung TV and its fine. just a tad too big for the screen and as long as the under scan slider is there it can be fixed. Anyhow just thought I let you finally know. Either way the computer runs much better now with the newer config. Thanks again Jake Lo and Herve as well for your input.
Administrators Bronxteck Posted August 27, 2017 Administrators Share Posted August 27, 2017 if your Toshiba has a firmware available you can try updating it. or you can also try to detect the screen in display prefpane. depending on the os you might have to hold the option key to see the detect button. Administrators Hervé Posted August 27, 2017 Administrators Share Posted August 27, 2017 Or it could simply be a duff physical connection at one cable end...

spidey123
Well I haven't gotten a chance to get another HDMI yet but the thread was about the freezing so I think this one can be marked solved despite the HDMI problems as obviously those existed for a while but I just didn't know. I can start another thread for the HDMI problems. Thanks again to everyone who helped out.
