  1. Changing smbios to 13,1, removed AICPM and install Nullcpu, still not sleeping on it's own. This time when I manually put it to sleep, I'll just get a blank screen, it will not resume until I hard reboot. All keyboard and mouse stopped working as well. All USB including ss USB which are USB 3.0 are functioning. I've installed GenericUSBXHCI, but I don't see super speed in the System Report. I read that HD2500 is just the lower end of HD4000 but the efi string should also works, have you try injecting it? I use 16205, but you could try 16603 if that doesn't work.
  2. Bronxteck, Just upgraded bios to A14, same thing. I think I need to get a patch DSDT for sleep. Already tried sleepenabler, will get a KP. Not a big deal for me since it's a desktop, but display sleeps fine.
  3. Follow this thread. I think voodoohda 2.8.4 works on it.
  4. yeshu1984, As I recall, you can't disable the external display card, just disconnect it and remove it from the system. Yes, the bootpack will work on your i5 system as well. JL
  5. Check out this thread, Sounds similar to your issue.
  6. Leo, Try version 5.1, the drag does work with the touchpad, but not with the trackpoint.
  7. hi bean8378, Go here, download EDP and run it. Select your model from the list and build it.
  8. Leo, I also get KP with version 7 on E6530. Just tried version 6.1 from previous page, no more KP. @bpedman, with this version 6.1, the cursor doesn't jump when the nub was release, it's weird that it would on v7. Now with v6.1, I can't drag with the trackpoint or with the trackpad, but preference show it load a mouse and trackpad. Also scrolling doesn't work on the trackpad. The Alps device ID is the same as the E5430 E7=0x73 0x03 0x0a. Thanks.
  9. No reboot is necessary. Sounds like a failed installation of EDP. Try reinstalling.
  10. Which Intel HD kexts did you delete? And did you delete them before using the DP to DVI adapter? Make sure you have AppleIntelHD4000GraphicsGA.plugin,AppleIntelHD4000Graphics.kext,AppleIntelHD4000GraphicsGLDriver.bundle, and AppleIntelHD4000GraphicsVADriver.bundle in S/L/E. If you delete them, you won't get QE/CI.
  11. Leo, If you use the bootpack from the guide, it should already include AppleSmartbatteryManager.kext. If it's not loading, try rerunning my hack, select my fix/full to rebuild cache and permission. If that still doesn't work, try adding -f switch to boot.plist.
  12. Sounds like there might be some issue with EDP. Go to the Extra folder and run edptool.command. It'll then prompt you for a password, after entering the password, EDP will then launch.
  13. Try this dsdt and see if the number pad will work. For the trackpad/mouse, did you install the VoodooPS2synapticsPane.prefPane? You need to adjust some settings to get it to work.DSDT.aml.zip
  14. Did you include the bootpack for your model? Check here.
  15. Make sure you include Fake92HD87B1AppleHDA in E/E as well, remove voodoohda and applehdadisabler and run my fix to update permission and cache.
  16. Are you sure it kp or just hanging after displaying Ethernet? If the later, it means it's not able to load the display driver. If it has the Intel built-in display, it's probably the 1st generation gma display and getting QE/CI on it is hit and miss. So, please list your full specs here. Perhaps it might have different video.
  17. bpedman, Thanks, v7 works pretty good on my E6520, and thanks to Bjornw for uploading the version for Mavericks. On both version, I have an issue with dragging while using the trackstick. The left and right mouse click for the trackstick works but can't drag or increase/decrease windows size. Tried specific's advice to change 'Z' value but it doesn't work. Pointer still jumps to the right when you lift your finger from the trackstick. Can you get the trackstick scrolling to work too? That's the middle button. Right now it doesn't do anything. thanks again for the great work.
  18. rob, Found that the connectors in AppleIntelFramebufferCapri needs to be modded if the resolution is 1600x900 or higher. Included is the boot pack that should work for your model if you're still interesting in testing Mavericks. Included AppleIntelFramebufferCapri is from DP4,but won't cause any issue with DP1 installer. For those with 1366x768, just remove AppleIntelFramebufferCapri from the boot pack. Extra_Mavericks.zip
  19. When you bootup with the installer, the second you see Chameleon loading, you can interrupt it by hitting the enter key. From there, simply enter -v and nothing else, and then hit the enter key to continue.
  20. This guide should work for that model. It's for an E6430, but has all the specs you listed. Just need to change the resolution in boot.plist.
  21. Monkeytail, I get the EBIOS read error if I boot without the -v switch. So try booting with the -v switch and see if it make any difference for you. By the way, which version of Mountain Lion are you using for your installer?
  22. Take a look at this thread, includes a link to a working bookpack. Make sure to boot from a USB 2.0 port (left rear corner) You'll need to replace your Centrino wireless with a compatible card...Atheros or Broadcom to name a few.
  23. paky888, Boot from Ubuntu, from Terminal run this command: sudo intel_reg_dumper From the output, search for the line that starts with PCH_LVDS example: PCH_LVDS:0x80308302 (enabled, pipe A, 18 bit, 2 channel) If you see enabled, then you might be able to get full QE/CI with a little tinkering. If disabled, the most you'll get is CI for your display for now.
  24. This system has already been done. Check post here with all necessary files. You could follow this thread too. Same thing except smaller LCD and without number pad.
  25. The DW1510 is supported OOB, not the DW1520. I have both tested before. There's not known kext that will support DW1520 or it will ever be. It has a whole new chipset.
