  1. Seems like the windows method dosent actually make the pen bootable.. wich is..strange.. give it a try on a linux or other osx machine instead.. that works for sure

Actually, i saw somebody write about it on twitter.. and besides.. i hate to take creds for anything.. its a matter of teamwork, and everyone in here is one big team Anyway dude, welcome to osxlatitude...
  3. i have a feeling its something todo with hardware accl. I guess next project is to find us a better nvidia driver...
  4. Most likely, i havent gotten to that yet.. try and grap the com.apple.boot.plist attached here... com.apple.boot.plist.zip
  5. everything.. test as much as you can
  6. Cool.. please give the dsdt a GOOD test so that we can certify it on: http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/a92b0/EDP_History_and_Changelog.html

Nope, do something else.. edit your com.apple.boot.plist, and add: Kernel Flags pmVersion=21 If you allready have a kernel flag, just add the pmversion=21 to the string .. just a question.. do you have nvidia or intel ?

Hey, D420 is allready tested, so for your part.. update your bios, and wait for the 1.5rc5 release before updating to 10.6.6 if you want to be on the safe side D420 and D430 are 99,9% alike...

Hi Everyone, Please go here and have a look: http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/a92b0/EDP_History_and_Changelog.html You will now see a list of certified laptops + their status. I need people to test EDP 1.5 RC5 - catch me on skype since i dont wanna release it public just yet.
  13. Catch me on skype (lbollerup), and i'll send you the EDP 1.5 RC5 (not released yet) Is yours with Intel or Nvidia graphic card ? (mine is with Nvidia).. and it just got certified today: http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/a92b0/EDP_History_and_Changelog.html
  14. what kinda machine do you have and what osx version did you install ?

    OSX 10.6.6

Hi, So, 10.6.6 is out, and its time to regroup and see what works and what dosent. I will update the main post with info from comments. :::: UPDATE :::: Link: http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/a92b0/EDP_History_and_Changelog.html We are now certifying the dells on the Wiki, should make it easier to track. I need testers with models not listed here. Once we have gotten a bit further we can release RC5
  16. Are you using our EDP package ?
  17. Will do that as soon as my system is stable again, my d630 is 100% messed up after 10.6.6
  18. On another note, i think we are going to include bronxtecks work in the newest EDP as a 3th. option (i like options) Maybe we should do a release soon ?
  19. To do a work around the debug thing, do: Open a console, type: sudo su (enter) (to change to admin mode) ln -sF /dev/null /var/log/kernel.log (what it does is, that it re-creates kernel.log as a symbolic link to /dev/null) .. its not the perfect solution.. but it works. .. There you go, Then it can write as much as it want without taking up cpu time and flooding ur log
  20. Hey Chris, I actually have the same kind of laptop these days (reselling it, its the 16xx X 10xx) model. As for your problem with powerman. - Yes, you are right, its a problem with speedstep. Try and use coolbook to act as speedstep alternative ( http://www.osxlatitude.com/groups/d4xosx/wiki/1d8c1/Howto_Fix_heating_problems.html ) - it works on mine and solves the above problems. As for cd/dvd, i'll have a chat with mariusz and have him add cd/dvd fix to rc5
  21. Any idea what our present one syncs on ?
  22. You might wanna check with bronxteck, he is doing testing on it as we speak
  23. Hi, Let me try and sum this one up. Right now we dont have any D620 testers, so thats why the whole D620 is a bit of a blind spot, also, in 1.5, we have seperated the models a bit more (as you properly have noticed) As for the OSvkern.. and IONe.. those are being updated in RC5 as we speak. Can you please attach the dsdt.aml that you are using and a bit of info about ur machine.. eg. D620-intel or D620-nvidia ? Could you please add
  24. Hey, Creds goes to Joe for suggesting this. Check it out... http://www.r2x2.com/users/lsb/weblog/ef00c/Better_cooling_for_Dell_Latitude_D420D430_laptops.html I have to admit that i am very pleased with the result
