Even with generated C and P states, it does not lower the temp. of the D4x0. Notice this: D430, running powerpack full power on cpu stays at same temp. as D430 running without powerpack AND coolbook controller. Meaning, if we want to retain the same tempreture without the powerpack, then we have to level down the cpu - something tells me, that OSX just can't handle the cpu correctly without the powerpack.. sadly..

remove the or well.. replace it with the path to your image... eg. /root/SLD430USB.img ... and the same in of= ..

yep.. plug it in, and do a df -h to see your devices.. then you know what the usb pen is called...

Seems like the windows method dosent actually make the pen bootable.. wich is..strange.. give it a try on a linux or other osx machine instead.. that works for sure

Nope, do something else.. edit your com.apple.boot.plist, and add: Kernel Flags pmVersion=21 If you allready have a kernel flag, just add the pmversion=21 to the string .. just a question.. do you have nvidia or intel ?

when you are on the chameleon boot screen, type: pmVersion=21 and then boot.. let me know if it works..

Hey, D420 is allready tested, so for your part.. update your bios, and wait for the 1.5rc5 release before updating to 10.6.6 if you want to be on the safe side D420 and D430 are 99,9% alike...
