    vga out

I think i might have mentioned it in another thread.. while its something we would love to sort out, its not that high a priot. compared to some of the other things we are dealing with.. however, feel free to help and research it
  2. let me guess. .you had it in "screen expansion" and you changed it to "mirror" mode ?

    OSX 10.6.6

First thing you need to know, is that the controller needs to be a PATA controller, and not a emulated sata controller. My advice, go with Runcore or Photofast...

    OSX 10.6.6

wow.. not to be a jackass, but thats extremely slow for a SSD... .. you might wanna wish for a upgrade
  5. agree, we need to make a smarter installation method.. seems like you just found urself a project
  6. Hey, Yep, same with D530.. the new version of EDP will allow you make builds on eg. usb pen.. but we also have to consider to update the standard installer...
  7. Allright, just to clarify.. not all external monitors is supported and while we do know this is a big problem, then its still a low priot. on our list due to more urgent matters - however, you are welcome to help research the problem
  8. speed step.. in windows speedstep works and save battery power.. go install coolbook (it cost 10$) but it can do the same as speedstep...
  9. Update to 10.6.6 and edp1.5rc5 and you should be fine.. if you are running 10.6.4 and get KP, then revert to EDP 1.4 from www.osxlatitude.com

    OSX 10.6.6

Ur most welcome A little advice.. use Xslimmer, CleanMyMac and Monolingual to slim it further, if i'm not mistaken you can cut down another 1gb there... Btw.. can you run Xbench and post your results here.. i'm curios to see how your SSD performs.. i have a 128gb Runcore and a 64gb PhotoFast myself...
  11. A bit more info please... 1. What OSX version ? 2. What EDP version ? 3. Does it work to boot it normal without monitor connected ?
  12. .. just in case anyone missed it... http://www.apple.com/macosx/lion/
  13. Tested, and seemed to boot fine, allthough that i got a KP (voodoohda) when booting in verbose .. but not normal.. strange... sound works fine tho.. Lets continue with this when you get your D420, then you have a fair chance to test localy

    OSX 10.6.6

Thats the right order.. is your internal HD only 8gb ?
  16. Hi, I tested that version of FakeSMC once, can't remember why we did use it, but i seem to recall alot of problems, i guess when you get the D420 you can do some experiments with it. The choice of MBA1,1 was because of several things, first of all to get support for "Remote disc" (since the D4x0 dosent have a build-in drive), second of all because of the "neat'ness" in having it identified as a MBA and latestly because performance for some reason seemed best best - offcourse - i could be mistaken. Each Latitude "more or less" have their own dsdt.aml in the EDP, you can find them in the dropbox dir as said before. Have a look at the D4x0 one, and let me know if you think something is missing....
  17. ACPImonitor.. interesting.. what can you get to monitor ?... can you try and modify the one for D4x0 series ? (its in the dropbox under EDP/1.5rc6/Models/D4x0/
  18. Followup to Forum welcome message and our detailed user agreement: Just like any other forum out there, we also have rules - ours might be a bit more simple / different. The hell with running a forum... Most forums have a tendency of getting bloated and filled up with crap - To deal with that all, useful information is moved to the wiki and topics are moved to the archive7 when no longer used in order to keep the forum fresh and clean - so don't take it personally if we delete a thread that you had started or messages you posted. it's the natural flow of things. RULES No spamming, spammers will get SLAPPED* No flaming, flamers will get SLAPPED* No foul language or you will get SLAPPED* Read the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) and use the Search facility before posting. Double (or multiple) posts will be deleted Useless topics will be deleted No topic bumping, posts will be deleted Messages unrelated to the topic of a thread and/or polluting messages will be deleted. Guides sections are clearly labelled "Installation guides only. No support here". Any request for support posted there will be deleted. Topics with no activity (unless they serve a purpose) will be moved to "The Archive'': https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/forum/24-the-archive/ Warez, talk all you want but don't link to it (there is something called Private Messages you know). No support for distros, they're evil. If you use them, don't come here for help; they tend to have their own forum. Threads related to distro installations will be deleted. English only. If you want / need chatting in your own language, use the PM facility. No references, questions and/or links to TMX (tonycrap, xxxBeast and others...). We don't support their tools and they have their own forum. Use quotes with moderation. No need to quote the last message in each reply you post. Only quote an older message (or better, use @<member pseudo>) or part of a message you want to specifically refer to in your reply. Pertaining forum signatures; you may link to sites outside OSXL (except TMX) but keep it to the point. It's better to add what Hackintosh gear you got. You can edit your signature by clicking on your forum name at top left corner (when you're logged in of course) -> choose "Account Settings" -> "Signature". *) SLAPPED = permanently banned by name, email and IP That's it! Hopefully, we won't need more than that. Ohh ya... Our groups.... 1. Crew = The top of the food chain, they control the site, services and are the ones who develop EDP, you can not apply to join the crew... you are selected. 2. VIP = People who donate (if you haven't been upgraded to VIP status, please contact a forum admin, or use osxlatitude.com/contact/ form) 4. The rest = you!
