  1. Hi, I modified the bootpack folder. Try this and let me know if it works Cheers! Dell_Latitude_E6400-E6500-ml.zip
  2. Oh and -v -f -x UseKernelCache=no, sorry misspelled UseKernelCache last time.
  3. Do you have ATA mode set to ACHI in BIOS? Also try changing USB ports, and wait about 5 minutes for the installer to launch if it is hanging on a white screen and spinning beach ball.
  4. Try -v -f -x and if that doesnt work try -v -f -x UseKernalCache=no
  5. You're very welcome! Enjoy your Hackintosh! And yeah I think it's either EDP 3.x or myHack causing the problem, which is why I never make my USB installers for Snow Leopard using myHack. I do it the old fashioned way and it always works! Cheers!
  6. That's why I advised to NOT use EDP 3.x, I hope I made my instructions clear enough for you to be able to follow. It is the guide we used to use when SL was the only version of OS X that we supported on these machines. and yes I understand what you mean. I was once a newbie too it just takes determination to want to learn about Hackintosh and you'll be a pro at it in no time. Anyways... Only install myHack Utilities and run myFix IF you are having any troubles. Don't run it unless you are experiencing error.
  7. It depends if the wireless card is a Mini-PCI card or one of the older ones that were bigger. Compare the two cards, and if the one you found is bigger it wont fit
  8. EDP 3.x is not confirmed to work under Snow Leopard, so anything can happen
  9. Let's try this over: Make your USB stick, but don't use myHack! DO NOT ON SNOW LEOPARD... Last thing you want to do. Here's what you want to do: Insert your Snow Leopard install DVD or if you have a DMG image that works too. Go to disk utility and format a USB stick with Master Boot Record and Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Go to the Restore tab, and for source, click "Image" and select your Snow Leopard DMG file or from the DVD menu if you have the DVD version. For destination, drag your formatted USB drive to the destination section. If you are making it on Snow Leopard, be sure "Erase Destination" is selected. On Lion and Mountain Lion it does it by itself. and then click restore. Enter root password and let it copy away! Now download the latest certified Chameleon bootloader from here: http://www.osxlatitude.com/files/Chameleon.pkg Download this bootpack and put it on the root of your USB stick: http://www.osxlatitude.com/packs/Dell/Dell_Latitude_D4x0-sl.zip Now boot from your USB stick using "-v" or "-v -f -x" and then install OS X. Make sure the hard drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID Partition Table. Now install and when it's done, update to 10.6.8 and run EDP 1.9.2 and make a build. Now reboot. If you want you can also install myHack Utilties and run myFix Full mode Cheers!
  10. Not sure if this is common or not, but are you booting arch=i386? Also try UseKernelCache=yes
  11. Form factor is the same as the D830 pretty much. Same case design. If the 3G and Airport work in D620 it will work in M4300 Cheers!
  12. Try this: Go to google and find yourself an OS X Lion VMware Image and a copy of VMware Player. VMware player is free. In the OS X Lion VMware Image, download OS X Lion, how you download it I don't care. Now make your USB stick with myHack using the bootpack for your model. Install Chameleon and boot to the USB stick and let us know what happens

We are doing testing at the moment but the Intel models dont have much faith with running ML, we cant even get them to boot to the GUI on the latest DP4, and even if you could get it worked, graphics acceleration is toast because they dont support the newest version of OpenGL.
  14. Yes you can make a snow installer on a PowerMac G5, either using myHack or xfail. Either is great, but if you would like to try out xfail, here is a D620 guide: https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/794-mac-os-x-lion-install-guide-for-d620/

Disable WiFi in BIOS and then install OS X. When in OS X run EDP3 and then enable WiFi again
  16. We do not support pirated software, that may even be issue. And you need a Mac to transfer the files anyway...
  17. http://www.osxlatitude.com/edp/bootpack/ Has the Mountain Lion boot pack for the Dell M4300
  18. Yes it will work. The M4300 is very similar to the D830 which works on Mountain Lion so it most likely will work
  19. You should be able to use the Lion bootpack to install it and then make a build in EDP3
  20. For OSXLatitude, this is not required, as it is implemented into EDP and AppleACPIPlatform.kext is placed in Extra/Extension by EDP.
  21. I am currently testing Mountain Lion on my E6500 which is quite similar, E6400 should be fine for Mountain Lion

Yep! Just remove the keyboard (Search on Google or YouTube. Many tutorials), remove your old Wireless card Insert the card into the slot that you removed your old wireless card out of, plug in the wires, put the keyboard back and stuff like that, boot into OS X and should have WiFi

Anything Dell Wireless, Dell Wireless 1395, Dell Wireless 1490 and Dell Wireless 1505 are recommended.
  24. Not much can be done then... Unless you have the ability of making a dmg of your DVD, adding the patched OSInstall.mpkg and burning it to another DVD
