  1. if you do a -v when you select the os install disk it should show you where its hanging up... if your using the "leppy" image with the 10.6.3 disc then the problem is most likely graphics... if you can use a mac and have a bootable thumb drive then just install chameleon to the thumb drive install edp to it build for your machine on the thumb drive and use that to boot might as well copy the edp.pkg to it as well for later install to the partition
  2. go into energy saver and uncheck "slightly dim the display while using this power source" then sleep and wake
  3. connect a keyboard. it just wants to hold it's hand through the install process. sometimes it happens with bluetooth too.
  4. i don't understand... have you already installed osx to the hard drive? if so you need to put the disc back in to boot then install chameleon and edp once osx finishes the install
  5. try a different smbios like macbookair1,1 or macbook2,1 for coolbook. if you look at the info.plist in the app iokitpersonalities i think shows compatible smbios id's
  6. check your power management settings in bios especially usb if not sure just set bios to defaults... also use edptool, fixes, sleepfix.
  7. make you own using lizard app bootable iso section .... drag what you need to try to the black box... dsdt, smbios, boot plist, extensions...
  8. http://support.apple.com/kb/TA24084
  9. did you try running the option to fix sleep related issues in fix section of edptool?
  10. maybe try this to see info for bootloader on the hdd http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=257464&hl=
  11. replace it in extra smbios for macbook2,1 smbios.plist.zip
  12. well have you tried building for d620 nvida by mistake in the past?
  13. case sensitive makes more problem then its worth unless your running a server. causes alot of weird issues too like kexts not loading if there name structure is not correct and chameleon commands not responding properly.
  14. if you can post your specs in your signature it will help with troubleshooting down the road. depending on which latitude you have there are variants of intel and nvidia so you need to know this. check in windows or linux. when you build edp 1.8 wich works with 10.6.7 update. also has selections for specific variants of latitudes like d620-intel option=4, d620-nvidia option=5 so make sure to build for correct machine. edp 1.8 has a compatible chameleon so you might want to use it... you can go higher if you find it... i think chameleon is at 927 as of last night
  15. well maybe they striped languages from your image to make the package smaller.
  16. then try a different smbios.plist. i am using macbook2,1 because it is similar to my d620 hardware wise... Graphics /processor family. if you open the contents of coolbook you will see a list of supported macs in the plist file
  17. well this has been working for me,,, i put the app in applications folder and added it to logon items so that it starts on boot PstateChanger.zip
  18. have you tried vlc? http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html
  19. try one of the newer chameleon bootloaders from here then use chameleon prefpane or lizard app or manually edit com.apple.boot.plist in extra with graphics enabler=yes generate p-states=yes generate c-states=yes also you might need graphics kext in e/e or replace the one in s/l/e in EDP graphics are patched in DSDT (try searching for DSDT editor app it has patch for 950). that might be the reason for gray screen (needs graphics or graphics injection) the link you provided also says something about hanging because it says you need to patch appleyukon.kext for lan.
  20. when on battery it conserves battery so it default to lowest speed on ac power it runs at a higher clock speed.
  21. check your power management features in bios for usb see if that helps, and are you using edp 1.8 (get it from the forum and the patch)? you can use lizard app to try auto detect Pciroot not sure if it should be 1 instead of 0 for that model. you can also tru diffrent usb fixes with that app just dont forget to save changes after your finished making them.
  22. have you tried putting the 10.6.0 kext back?
  23. if you did pure gpt you can resize the osx partition then make a partition in the free space and format it fat then figure out the windows bit. usually easier to have an image already and transfer it to the new partition... and yes the wiki needs updating... after 10.6 edp we moved to pkg format to solve most of the errors end users were having with the manual install method.
  24. yes but building edp takes care of that for you. was that error after install finished and the machine rebooted? edp is a straight forward thing you should not be having so many issue unless theres corrupted media somewhere... like memory, hdd, thumbdrive, dvdrom or dirty disc basically a bad image being generated? by the way bin/rebuild.sh: line 22: /Volumes/Mac: No such file or directory means that edp is not installed on volume/mac is volume mac your HDD? maybe there lies your issue... just install edp to Mac if thats where osx is and build again for your machine
