  8. Need help with installation problem: My E6410 with Intel graphics will not let me install. "OS X installation couldn't be completed" is the error message after pressing to select "ENGLISH" language on the install screen. Yes, I have deleted all three "ApleIntelHDgraphiccs.kext" from S/L/E folder. Any help please?
  9. I tried installing the EDP package, but afterwards, the computer would not boot. It froze at the beginning of the boot. The DSDT.aml didn't work for some reason...
  10. OK, I think I finally got to the root of the problem with my Dell D830 (x3100) post installation problem. Again I have a Dell D830 with x3100 hi-res 1900X1200 LCD screen. It would randowly freeze or cause kernel panics. I believe it has something to do with the AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext. Here's a screenshot of the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated...
  11. OK, thanks for the reply...will see what happens after the EDP rebuild...
  12. How long does it take the latest EDP framework to finished ? I've ran mine for close to an hour and it's still going... Dell D830 (x3100) high resolution 10.7.4 OsX
  13. How long does it normally take for the latest EDP framework to finished ? I've run it close to an hour now and it's still running...
  14. What exactly does the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer kext do ? I will first try to remove this kext and see what happens before I install a fresh copy with the EDP system build...

I initially tried it and the system would not boot, keep getting stuck with black screen. I found that the dsdt.aml file was the culprit. So I end up using a different dsdt.aml file from somewhere else, then it booted fine and I was able to complete the installation. Audio and wireless works good...just keep getting that pop up error all the time randomly...
  16. Hello, I need help with post installation of my Dell D830 (x3100). But first I want to say thanks to this site for all the great instructions to get my Dell D830 (x3100) going thus far. However, I am experiencing a problem with the post installations with popup error message. Here are some info: Dell D830 (x3100) 10.7.4 installed with myHack No EDP The problem is that the computer would go into a panic mode where I need to restart the computer. This would happen randomly 5 minutes into using it, other times 30 minutes into using it. Always the same popup that says I need to restart the computer. Really annoying. Can someone help me ? Here's a screenshot of the problem:
  17. I second a CD/DVD based bootloaded similar to D620XXX.iso. For the life of me, I just can't get my USB Pen install to work with latest chamelon and 1.6 edp...grey screen asking to restart computer...
  18. Hello, I have been trying many many times to install OsX 10.6.0 (vanilla) with chameleon r665 and latest edp onto my Dell D630-X3100 with no success. Getting grey screen asking to restart the computer. I want to try a different bootloader onto my USB Pen. Can I just delete the Extra folder in root of pen drive and install the new chameleon bootloader onto it ? What is the proper way to change (install/Un-install) the bootloader onto a USB pen drive with image of SL 10.6.0 ?
  19. I did, still getting grey screen asking me to restart my computer. This was a USB pen installed...having bad luck with this bootloader or something not working right. Empire EFI still is the only one bootloader allowing to intall SL vanilla. But after updates, panic kernels all over again...
  20. crc-error404: THANK YOU my friend...I am able to download now...thanks...
  21. Thunderbolt, If you are reading this, PLEASE I need two files from you for my D630-X3100. I need the following two files: 1) extra.zip (you made for the D630-X3100) 2) Pen Install for D630-X3100.zip I found the two topics where you posted these two files but, I can't download the files because I am getting this error message when I tried downloading them (actually I found the two files in the archive section): An Error Occurred Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. 22. Charles, Thanks for the great tips...I will give your method a try. However, my video is Intel gmax3100 not Nvidia. I was going to try Thunderbolt's extra.zip made specifically for the D630 with Intel 3100 video, but I cannot download it at all. Getting the above mentioned error messages...
  23. I was trying to find Thunderbolt's extra.zip file made for the Dell D630-GMA3100. I think I found the file but when trying to download the file, this error message came up.
