Hello, I was wondering if it would be possible to hook up my Dell D820 to my 1080p monitor via VGA. On the compatibility page, it shows that VGA is supported on this machine so I am wondering how I could set it up so that the laptop screen is off and the monitor be the only display?
So I'm installing Lion on my Dell D820, BIOs AO6, 4GB Ram, Core 2 Duo. I had to use a different Extras pack from this thread as the one I had before kept giving me Kernel Panics. Anyhow, I'm booting into the USB, and all is good except it gets stuck on a black screen with the Loading Spinning Wheel. Probably trying to initialize the installer. Any tips?
I installed the appropriate ethernet kext for my Dell Latitude D820 but when I go to the Network Setting in System Preferences, it says No IP Address and if I put one in... it still won't connect to the internet. I think I might have to configure everything by myself..because in Network Diagnostics, everything is failing. Oh well. Any help would be appreciated. EDIT: Solved using the D620_GMA950_LowRes Pack Ethernet Kext, found down below.
Ok, I've been looking a bit at this situation, and I've found the following, using the model_data in SVN revision 564: 1.)
