Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 5, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 5, 2017 so the external monitor connected is HDMI or DP? Does system have both HDMI and DP? Try leaving out FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext AppleHDA_ALC256B.kext should be in /L/E or /S/L/E. Cleaner at /L/E. Try this DSDT DSDT.aml.zip

Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 6, 2017 That confirms the same issue tldrbro's having. Wonder if you could unload and reload the kext to see if it'll work sudo kextunload /pathToKext/VoodooPS2Controller.kext sudo kextload /pathToKext/VoodooPS2Controller.kext Note: You need to point to the actual path of the kext...

abraxis
Trackpad never wakes from sleep. When I resume from sleep the laptop screen is blurry. When i screen shot my desktop i get a normal screen shot with no distortion.I attached a pic taken with my phone to show the distortion. Also when i plug in thunderbolt to hdmi screen is fine. (HDMI audio works)When i plug HDMI-HDMI screen is fine. (No HDMI audio)What do you think?
Moderators Jake Lo Posted December 6, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 6, 2017 Try this for display after sleep
abraxis
Tried the script. ioreg -l | grep "IODisplayEDID" reported i had successfully changed edid but still have the distortion when display sleeps. Would of replied in other thread but its locked. I think ill stick with Sierra for now Used sleepwatcher to create a bluetooth reset after wake and that solved the BT connect after wake issue. All i need to solve now is the trackpad non-wake issue and i should be good. Have a magic mouse on the way in case it takes awhile.
