Will test USB-C shortly. USB atheros NIC is missing from USB hub now. Is this a PCI remap issue? Trackpad is also working, however in a way I'd describe as jumpy. How do I tune this? Re:atheros NIC. As you'll see in that last ioreg I was able to get my usb NIC working. The remaining issue is it's showing up in the wrong tree. This is an all-in one 3 port USB2 hub with the NIC showing up on it's own USB3 device. (note the pics below. At first the Nic appears on it's own from my initial EFI posting. The second pic it's not. What should I look at to fix this? ACPI mapping?
Administrators Hervé Posted January 21, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 21, 2019 https://plugable.com/2013/01/29/via-usb-3-0-hub-firmware/ 0x2109:0x0812 would appear to be a USB3.0 hub...
micheajp
Does ioreg have a windows version for reading the tree? I can't reboot and look at this for a couple hours. Yes. This device has 2x hubs hanging off of one USB3 A input. The NIC is wired to the USB3 hub. The actual device is here. https://www.cnet.com/products/macally-u3hubgb-network-adapter/

This is a 60hz native monitor with a much higher resolution. Is there something I can tune to unlock it? Administrators Hervé Posted January 21, 2019 Administrators Share Posted January 21, 2019 Stange, eh? You have a NIC connected to a USB3 hub and it shows in IOReg. Hmm... Re: Windows, ever heard of Device Manager?
micheajp
Lol. Yes, here's a shot of each. The hub is separate as I mentioned. Nic is Port_#0004.Hub_#0002, Hub is Port_#0002.Hub_#0001
