I Couldn't find a posting for this specific issue about wifi, so if I shouldn't have posted here, then I apologize, I couldn't find any where else more suitable after searching.

 

Trouble with my ASUS K53E seeing my AR 9285 WIFI

Here is info on my wifi card02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR9285 Wireless Network Adapter (PCI-Express) (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 1461
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 17
Memory at dea00000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable)
Capabilities:
Kernel driver in use: ath9k

SO far my K53-E is running well, except for one very minor thing -and more importantly my wifi at the moment. When I clicked on network in settings, no wifi option was available. I tried a DSDT patch and still don't see anything. Can someone PLEASE help?
