I'm almost done with vanilla install except these function keys. In vanilla install i don't have to use all those patched kexts ur having in boot pack as my system loads native kexts and if needed clover patches it from bootloder. And also I see a Display profile folder with plist file in your boot pack, may i know what is that for ? By the way I don't think your model hardware is same as mine, bcoz u seem to have Elan touch-pad in which I got synaptics touch-pad. And also DSDT looks bit different. Did you apply any edits or patches to make your function keys work? Would you mind sharing your full model and serial number of ur model? So that I can double check it. I think some one like EMlyDinEsH should have a look at my clean dsdt and figure it out....!!! I don't have my laptop with me now, when I go home I'll send you the clover config.plist. Let me tell you ..like you many of them think and have this belief that clover is not stable, but that's not at all true as long as your familiar with clover. The key thing with clover is to have correct config file, then ur done. I've been using clover on 4 systems including Asus x53e and all systems use pure vanilla kexts (except fakesmc) and in all systems I can update them like a realmac without any alterations. Everything works like real Mac. I'm happy to help you with clover anytime. I'll be returning home tomorrow and I'll send the file to you. I can turn it off but cant toggle it back on.And could you please let me know what code changes have you done for function keys and what all other patches u applied. Tanx Again Patches needed for the fn keys are there in my Fn keys driver post. So, try the Wifi patch from there and see. I've applied every other generic patch which is needed for your notebook, for details on some of the patches you can check them http://olarila.com/Patches and compare your original with my patched version to get the changes i made. Ami Bios is easy to mod though, you can find the tools here http://www.bios-mods.com and only need to install virtual box, if don't have Windows, to make your own. About Clover I've been using it in my last hacks because right now is plenty of possibilities and can patch everything and also UEFI bugs have been corrected. Sorry its not phoenix ...i googled and found that AMIBCP is the tool that does. And I already started changing access to USER but don't know what's going wrong chipset menu is not at all showing up in BIOS after changing every option under it to USER. do you have any idea where I should change to get chipset menu. Tanx Again Hello, Wondering if you can please help me! I've looked at all the you tube tutorials available on appleHDA patching and I'm not having an easy time here. I've been waiting for a reply but havn't heard anything yet. I downloaded the DSDT file shown above just to see if this would help but so far nothing happens. I have the same machine. I can't get the volume on my hack to work. As far as trying to patch myself, I've been to all the available sites. I can only get so far. Now I'm stuck at where I need a script pact binary to enter into terminal to get ahead. HELPPPP!!! IS it maybe possible that someone can send me or post all the files to get my machine further ahead here??? PLEASE!!!!! -very frustrated now -Oh and Also, Its not Clover. Just a unifail chimera (chameleon, stolen and rebranded) install. IF Clover would be my best option, then which drivers do I select when I get to the section on drivers 64(i believe its called) , is it the last three last two, etc? not sure which ones. I have the same computer and I still can't get the audio to work despite the previous post saying that all worked except for backlight etc...I tried the last DSDT on this post and though it improved the state of my hack, I still can't get audio!!! PLEASE HELP!!! Do I need to change something on the plist? I don't know, PLEASE HELP!!!
