Installed a new Dell DW1510 Mini PCI-.E card in the empty slot in my E6220 meant for WiMax.

Connected the free antenna connector to J1 on the 1510.

It just worked in Lion 10.7.2. Sysinfo below with some translation.

Speed only half (ca 40 Mbps) as only one channel ( one antenna remember) and bad S/N ratio.

But now I can keep the Intel Wifi for Windows 7 & 8 that works super with the Cisco APs at work.

By the way Windows 8 Customer Preview runs fine on E6220 with few

problems (had to make registry correction to get Cisco AnyConnect working)

Only remaining obstacle with Lion on E6220 is audio but I understand there is a solution

To anyone that's installed Lion on their E6220... are you using UEFI mode or Legacy mode? I'm using UEFI mode with Windows right now so my partition table is GPT, not MBR. Are there any problems with installing this on GPT/UEFI?

Hello...

i cant get any of my external monitor plugs to work.

My System :

E6220 / I7 / 8GB - Lion 10.7.3 running. HD3000 ist recognized.

The System show NO extra connectors. When i type FN+F8 the external plugged Monitor is switched on - but the Screen is complete garbage...

Everthing else ( beside WLAN :-) ) is running ...

can someone give me an advice how to fix this problem...

regards.

Hey Leon,

I've been trying to follow along with the steps you provided on the main OSXLatitude site, but get showstopping errors during the boot-from-USB process.

Namely, I notice the following text output:

"couldn't alloc class IntelCPUMonitor"

...and at the very end, after a few fakesmc debug errors, "still waiting for root device"

I'm using the 10.7.3 install DMG, btw.

Any advice?

System specs attached.

I am getting the same thing with 10.7.0. install dmg. :(

I used the ihack software to prepare the jumpdrive, then i used ihack to send the extra folder to the jump drive. then i booted to it and installed os x and ran EDP 2.2 I used the iHack method to prepare a boot key using the Extra folder from the e6220 bootpack .zip file.

Marks walkthrough was good.
