offficial_florin
Hello. How can I update my Computer to Sierra? Right now I have 10.11.6 Thanks...
Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 9, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 9, 2016 I don't think it' available until Sept 20th. Launch the App Store and update it from there just like a real Mac once it's available. I would recommend backing up before trying.
Administrators Hervé Posted September 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 9, 2016 If you've registered for Beta testing, you can download Sierra GM off Apple's web site where you'll get a Redeem Code. Failing that, you're only 10days away from general public release...
offficial_florin
Yes I know how to but do I have to care about Kext and drivers and thinks like this? And - how I do a full backup of the system incl bootloader ?
Administrators Hervé Posted September 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 10, 2016 Sierra will work with the same set of add-on kexts and settings you currently use for El Capitan. Use the forum search facility for your backup needs. Disk cloning and/or backups have been quite intensively discussed in the past.

Administrators Bronxteck Posted September 19, 2016 Administrators Share Posted September 19, 2016 is your boot loader compatible with sierra you might need to update it. you also need to either make a folder called 10.12 if using clover or use other folder for your kexts. Moderators Jake Lo Posted September 19, 2016 Moderators Share Posted September 19, 2016 After reboot, you need to select Install OS Sierra from ....again to complete the installation, usually the second option to the right of your drive.
seeker_pl
Anyone tried to create MacOS USB drive? I tried with https://osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/8514-dell-latitude-e7450-el-capitan-clover-uefi-only/,but installer failed immediately after Apple logo. If I have El Captain installed with fully working EFI drive is it possible to update to Sierra with untouched MacOS usb installer?
