  2. Hi and welcome to our community! First of all: Buy a retail Snow DVD - it cost 30$ - not as heavy priced as microsoft OS and fully legal because we wont support pirated software AND you will not be able to restore the image within Win7 or without a running OSX 2nd: Installing OSX will NOT burn your hardware - so dont be scared 3rd: I think OSX 10.6.0 is the best choice because of full support of our EDP and last: check our WIKI - its all in there cheers CRC
  3. Just do it so... Default Partition hd(0,2) EthernetBuiltIn Yes Graphics Mode 1280x800x32 Hide Partition hd(0,4) Instant Menu Yes Kernel mach_kernel Kernel Flags arch=x86_64 pmVersion=21 SystemType 2 Theme Bullet Timeout 4 USBBusFix Yes arch i386 btw - u dont use our edp or do you?
  4. uuups sorry - bronx u are right...
  5. U can update EDP without problems... If Chameleon works don't update because its our stable EDP Version... cheers
  6. Hi there and welcome... If you dont want use your original DVD you have to create a bootstick. Leon correct me if im wrong - the only way you get this is cloning the dvd in a working OSX onto your usb stick (easy - format Pen Drive "Mac OS Journaled with GUID" - restore DVD to USB Pen - thats all). After that: boot from the Bootdisk - Bronx told you - and choose the Pen drive for installing OSX. When finished boot with the Bootdisk into your installed OSX and install Chameleon and the latest EDP (from Wiki) for your Notebook. DONT RESTART - INSTALL ALL COMBO/UPDATES FIRST.... If you have installed all Updates and you are sure you are at Version 10.6.7 its time to restart. Now it boots without Bootstick into OSX - this is basically all - next step is doing all the cosmetic stuff (BIOS, GMA Booster, Sleep, ...) - but please read at your own in our wiki and/or our forum... Hope it helps Cheers

  19. hi bronx and thanks for your response... ja - i won't take the 5v from usb because it would split the amperage of the existing one. gnd is no poblem the board is full of them. The dock connector is also no opinion because there is a unit built in which is controlling the amperage of the output - so not stable. i will try the lcd board maybe there is a good connection... cheers
  20. Hi Guys! Im working on a Webcam mod for the D430. Only problem is finding a proper 5V output on systemboard. So if anybody knows where to find or if anybody owns a D430/D420 Mainboard Layout PDF - please upload it here. Thanks CRC Something like that - just more detailed...
